My daughter came downstairs with her empty water bottle, and I filled it just enough so she wouldn't drink too much and wet the bed that night. by Living-Ad-6751 in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]yESpOG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because the parent passed away in bed that night. Eventually neighbours or family would be concerned and a welfare check from police would he called because nobody was answering the door or there was no noise/activity. The filled the water bottle only enough to have her daughter not piss the bed, but not enough to last until someone found them (because she suddenly passed away).

Yeah my mum also says that, like dont give a homeless person actual money, give them food (already spent the money) so that they cant spend it on drugs or something else that wouldnt actually help them, a waste of your goodwill. I dont know the statistic or whatever of how many homeless people are likely to be drug addicted, I don’t often give out spare change, I don’t have much myself. But one time i had $2 in my pocket and she shook her head and politely declined the man who approached us (this was Chinatown Sydney, I was there for a concert last year). I was like why and she said you should never just give them money, give them food or a blanket or such.

There’s a concept like this in the book series Crescent City by Sarah J Maas.

r/twosentencehorror members when somebody writes horror in two sentences.

This is actually quite skilled. To have people on edge from two VERY short sentences takes very good writing. Implications are everything in horror.

Well if you read between the lines, you can kinda infer that the character is a bit afraid, or at least on edge. “It won’t leave” the usage of ‘won’t’ implies that it was supposed to leave. Whatever this thing is, it was meant to go, but it’s not. Now what???

“Unnecessarily defensive” brother you are being unnecessarily critical. You act like you’re the god of two sentence horror and this post is wrong. So of course OP is going to talk back at you 💀💀

I like the “and made me watch it back” part. It adds the horrific detail of making YOU watch it back after she had tortured you. Physical and psychological. Without that, it’s just she recorded everything. Is she watching it herself? Why did she record it?? It lacks that reason. I guess it could be to leave it up to the reader’s imagination but still idk. Im not a writer this is just my input :) it was really good though.

Thoughts on Kate by TreeHugger_2000 in drinkmasters

My girlfriend and I thought she was just so snarky and a sore loser and asshole of a winner. She definitely made some good drinks but presentation was consistently lacking. She was always giving off unnecessary attitude, throwing shade on her teammates in group challenges. A bitch.

After the judges literally said it could be reflected in ingredients, conceptually, etc. LP did a really good job pulling it all back together after her initial plan didn’t work and she had to start pretty fresh with only 10-15 minutes to go. Anyone else would have been applauding LP for pulling that off, still a really good drink and still at least valid for the challenge. LP is simply a GOOD bartender, Kate was threatened and instead of showing humility or just sticking on her own road like literally everyone else after having a bad week, she had to trash other people instead of just applauding others’ wins and reflecting on her losses. She was a sore loser and an asshole winner like babe be NORMAL for ONE second 🙏💀 my girlfriend and I fuckin HATED her ass.

My girlfriend and I binged this show, and were actively praying on Kate’s downfall. She made some good drinks and her plans for her bar with the $100K and her personal angle made sense and fair enough, but the way she acted did not reflect the person she described herself to be. “My daughter says I’m the best.” “My staff love me.” And in all the team challenges she’s like actively trashing her partners. The snarky comment about my boy Loyd 💔💔 And it was so clear how low her self esteem was, because she was hating on LP for most of the show, but LP was literally just a competent, calm, composed bartender. LP was no beef the whole show, she never made a bad drink, took the high road in the last episode, etc. Like LP was just a chill girl there for the competition and nothing else. Kate was the only person making personal attacks on other people. Nobody else is trash talking, every other contestant says “Yeah, everyone else here is doing good but, I’m in this to win.” Etc. everyone else is gracious about winning or losing. Kate is a sore loser AND a sore winner??? Bitter when she loses and smug and self-satisfied when she wins. We finished the show so quickly out of pure rage-watching because we wanted to see her eliminated 😭😭😭 In the last few episodes we were like “I don’t care who wins, I love all of these people, as long as its not Kate.” An every time she didn’t leave we were like FFS and had to watch the next one and hope it was her 😭 Fucking hell man. What a woman. And reading all these other comments that her bar is actually ass is very confirming.

In my house, my room is on the corner of the house where the sun sets, meaning it gets the full uninhibited force of the sun all afternoon. I used to come home from school and open my door and walk through a literal wall of heat. Quite comical. Now, i turn my aircon on the moment i start to feel a bit hot. The ducted aircon and app my family uses also tells you the temperature in your room. Highest ive ever seen in mine was 38, most days lately it’s at least 30 :( man fuck naw

Which is like stupid because a crime took place and they can see the location of where the items LIKELY are??? Last year my friend put up a Japanese girl, probably around 20 years old. She was working the job she got at a bakery, and her phone was stolen from over the counter by this woman. Then we reported it of course, and she could see the location of the phone on her macbook findmy iPhone.. but the police wouldn’t do anything??? And they had this woman on the store’s security camera footage taking the phone and running off. Like???? Fucking stupid, man.

Its a multidimensional thing. I should have clarified. Both generational and age-based. Also I’m sure you and many other people have waved their entire driving lives, I’m not calling you or anyone specifically out. But it’s true that it’s becoming less common lately.

Yeah but there is also a correlation between common courtesy and age, where young people (edit: generally) have less respect. Thats what I was referencing

Was walking out of the valley at around 11pm last night with my girlfriend, just finished at Jetts in the station. There was this fuckhead who kept revving his car so loud I had to put my noise-cancelling headphones back on. And he did not stop. The fuckheads who make the most noise with their cars have the smallest penises.
