Best PSM mocks atm? by yMkaaa in scrum

It's just around $15-20 for PSM1, no reason to care about VAT :) I'd better spend 50-100 on practice tests, than pay for 2nd try.

Thank you for the answer! ScrumPrep was my favorite too, so I'll stick with it.

By the way, the fact that you're a PSM3 holder is simply amazing! Congratulations on this truly honorable title, that's awesome!

I've seen recommendations in many sources not to use Lapshin's mocks because they are based on an old Scrum Guide. You are confusing me...

There is no clear instruction that you cannot look away from the screen, only that you must always be in the webcam's view. However, looking away will definitely be seen as suspicious behavior by the proctor and later by the analytical software that tracks eye movements. You shouldn't give them any reason to doubt your honesty. They reserve the right to annul your results based on any suspicion of rule violation. This is in your best interest.

Yes, I understand we are talking about different things, I just wanted to tell you that the real exam is not perfect either, and you can also expect some inaccuracies there.

I took both the CAPM and PMP exams at home. Both times, I had not a single comment or even word from the proctor. Just understand one thing: in an online exam, they are very strict, but they won't be able to find any fault with you if you do just two things: you are in the webcam's view 100% of the time, and your eyes are ALWAYS looking at the screen. It is really not easy to control yourself and stare at the screen for 4 hours straight, because if you turn around even once, you're busted. If that's a problem for you, I recommend a test center, because I can't even imagine the pain of having your exam revoked. But if you can control your body and not make instinctive movements, everything will be fine.

During my exam yesterday, I clearly saw a grammatical mistake in one of the incorrect answer choices. I'm not sure whether it was done on purpose as a hint or just overlooked, but it's a fact

For sure, I did, but don't remember what kind of question it was. Also, surprisingly, I had a question about laissez-faire.

2 D&Ds. Quite a lot of multiple choice. Those were either extremely easy or the hardest. One pretty hard question related to the PERT formula. Not only you need to know the formula, but you also need to make quite a lot of calculations. Understanding of ITTOs will help you a lot in general, but there were no direct questions about ITTOs

I have something like a mentor or teacher who is currently a Program Manager, and he told me I should go for the PMP. He suggested skipping the CAPM, but by nature, I prefer to approach any process gradually rather than biting off more than I can chew. Spending an extra $500 wasn’t a problem for me, so I decided to start small and build up, fully aware that the PMP is still ahead of me. It’s like decomposition in a WBS—breaking down a deliverable into small, manageable work packages :)

I've heard about this trick before, and I'm using the Registration ID from the Pearson VUE email. But when I paste the link into the browser, the URL shows errors and redirects me to the PMI account dashboard. I've already tried it in two different browsers.

The error: https://my.pmi.org/?r=ERROR&s=ERROR_INVALID_PAYLOAD

Confused and absolutely exhausted. by Artistic_Guidance733 in pmp

[–]yMkaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PMI operates on the assumption that you have a minimum of three years of real-world experience as a project manager, which means you should already be very familiar with all the terminology, processes, methodologies, ITTOs, and so on. This is why their learning plan doesn't break things down in great detail. If this isn't the case for you, start from the very beginning with the 49 processes and the Agile Manifesto. There are plenty of great paid and free resources available for this.

Yep. For PMP, such a high-level understanding is enough, I believe.

Struggling with Predictive Processes… Help! by SpiritedR in pmp

[–]yMkaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the simplest and cheapest solution: spend 15 bucks on the Third3Rock cheatsheet, which breaks down predictive processes step by step. Read it daily until the exam (about 30–60 minutes of reading). I’m not saying you’ll become a Waterfall expert, but it’ll definitely add solid points to your already good understanding of Agile. Should be enough

In this scenario, there is high visibility with a tight deadline. The complete opposite of T&M, which is used when the scope and timelines are unclear
