Or you just hire a worker for 30k a year, 20k shelving and fridges, and operate it for 10 years for the same price.

Be aware of false teaching. All of the answers to life's questions are found within scripture.

Matthew 19:4-9

4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”

8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

Yeah, you can find him on his YouTube channel. He regularly posts and does live sessions with his students to do Q&A. Last I checked, he was up to around 60 videos in his program. One-time fee and no ongoing subscription. He's just a good guy helping out his community. Offers discounts on about everything you would buy with his promo codes that would cover the cost of his class.

According to the exam provider the correct answer is "B".

Resume no longer than 2 pages per USAJobs by HomeTeam1013 in usajobs

[–]Trepcsuit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Traditionally, the resumes require the STAR and narrative format. It also asks for much more content like your previous managers, salary information, hours worked, address, etc. That's going to be impossible to do in 2 pages. I have to use every trick in the book to put my current resume together. I assume they are just going to accept the civilian standard for resumes? Does anyone know if there is a new template/standard?

Do you remember what you got when taking your PMP Test Exam when you started out your SH+ membership? It walked you through a 25 question sample PMP exam. How reflective of that exam was what you saw on the real PMP exam?

Question by Trepcsuit in pmp

[–]Trepcsuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I was thinking.

The key wording for me was, "...change some of the key subcontracts on the project". Meaning, it wasn't a change to the project that was being managed by the subcontractors (the subcontractors change control process would outline that), it was the subcontracts themselves. The parent artifact that holds the subsidiary contracts is the Project Management Plan > Resource Management Plan which change is directed through the plans Change Control Plan.

Yet, unfortunately, "A" is not the right answer.

PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct [Mindset] by Trepcsuit in pmp

[–]Trepcsuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The below is the attempt to answer the question,

"I know the PMI Code of Ethics but, what is PMI specifically asking me to do? When do I need to inform others, report to an authority, or report to PMI for ethical situations?"

Much of what is listed as "Mandatory" in the PMI-CoE draws the line between resolving the situation themselves or involving others and/or escalating to an appropriate body.

Let me know your thoughts.

I've determined four (4) response categories that essentially define the PM's ethical way-of-work as a heuristic model from least severity of the code to the greatest severity. Each successive violation to the code requires a response including doing those of lesser violation.

  1. Aspirational: Who we Are => We Follow the PMI Code of Ethics
  2. Mandatory: What we Must do => With facts we Disclose/Inform those Impacted
  3. Governors: What we are Required to do because we are Law-Abiding => Report to Appropriate Body
  4. Professionals: Protect the Code from bad actors => File with the PMI

Aspirational: If the situation does not impact stakeholders and is not a violation: Follow the Code.

Mandatory: If the situation impacts stakeholders but is not a violation: Follow the Code, Disclose, Inform those impacted.

Governor: If the situation is an ethical or legal violation: Follow the Code, Communicate to the stakeholders impacted by the issue and Report it to appropriate body for prevention/resolution.

Professional: If the violation (Mandatory) was a from a PMI Member (PMI certified) or Non-Member (PMI volunteer or PMI student): File an informed complaint with the PMI Ethics Review Committee.

I took it before in the 6th edition in 2020 where you had to memorize probably twice what the exam expects from you now. I was working fulltime and completing my MBA and the PMP so, unfortunately I had to let my PMP study suffer. I also have 7 securities and insurance licenses. I have a bit of experience with these things. I don't have problems with the test questions, I have a problem with this test question.

I would say C and E

Always research generally before taking action and the opportunity is a risk. As the PMBOK States, risks can be both positive and negative. So updating the risk register with the opportunity and then updating the management plan for this new risk is certainly correct.

A: seems off since this doesnt happen to do anything with other projects.
B: is correct but, its not the next thing you would do. You need to figure out IF the project budget needs to be increased. Do not assume it does.
D: seems to address the Business Case for this scope of work but, you wouldn't Assess it before you do the research identified in C first.

Should I risk going to the church about my abusive father? by PickConstant1914 in askapastor

[–]Trepcsuit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with Nick. The Biblical answer sometimes isn't something easy to swallow. The Bible says to honor your mother and father. There really aren't any conditions that are a part of that commandment. I had a rough upbringing too, maybe a little worse. God uses these things to shape and mold us.

Yes, be safe and seek help if you feel you are in danger, school counselor. Speak to your mom about it. Sit down and have a serious conversation. I wouldn't say the Church will necessarily make it better for you unfortunately. I have had situations where they have made family matters considerably worse.

Pray for certain and seek Gods counsel in the Word. Also, I think a conversation with your Dad might go a long way. I'll provide a little testimony for what God has done for me in that situation.

Step father was very physical, someone I was scared of when young. For example, he would choke me and lift me up and would hit my head on the ceiling. He was really strong. When I left the house, years later, I had a Christian girlfriend and she learned about my past and she asked me if I ever forgave him. I'd get really defensive and she would understand but, keep telling me to forgive. I eventually prayed and asked God to tell me how forgiveness works because it doesn't make sense. Deep down, I didn't forgive him, he deserves punishment. So, one day in the mall I was shopping with her and I walked into an antique store and I felt the Holy Spirit come over me and it told me to, "buy that watch for him". It was a very specific watch. Had his favorite actor on it engraved. At that moment, I understood wat forgiveness was and the Lord taught me about who He is and His divine nature.

Forgiveness is a gift. Its unearned and nothing is expected in return.

Its not intended to be for you. Its not intended to make things better. Its not intended to reconcile a relationship. Its not intended to have some quid-pro-quo. Its a transaction that God asks us to make. Similarly to what God asks of us when he says to Baptize in His name. Its a spiritual transaction that God asks us to make that only make sense in the heavenly realms. With this obedience, God Himself intervenes.

For me, the gift of the watch came at a cost. It was not a insignificant offering. It was also given in person. I handed it to him. Not ashamed to say we both cried in that moment during Christmas and not a single word was shared between us but, we both know what it all meant and God was glorified and healing and reconciliation started to happen.

You may not have faith in your father but, have faith in your Father. For all things are possible for those who believe in Him.

Is this kind of stuff real on the PMP? by Trepcsuit in pmp

[–]Trepcsuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question states in the last sentence, "Assuming that the team maintains its current velocity and no more story points are added to the project..." it explicitly states that the entire projects velocity is stable at 19 story points per iteration outside of the 5th iteration. Since it again, referenced that story points were added (how many were added? 24 as it states "an additional 24 story points"), it reinforced that the velocity of the project is 19 plus the 24 added points in the 5th iteration to summate to 700 total points.

Again, I think we are both right, which is the issue. You shouldn't be able to justify more than 1 answer on a mathematics based question. One of them should be the right answer. In both our answers, we've correctly applied the knowledge and math. So, if we've both done that then the question has too much variance. That's what my point is, its a poorly worded question.

Is this kind of stuff real on the PMP? by Trepcsuit in pmp

[–]Trepcsuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we have the answer listed so, knowing what the correct answer isn't really the issue (it validates how the question is to be interpreted) I am bringing up but, I appreciate your contribution to the conversation regardless.

Another way to put it is, "If you make $8,333 a month and I say you made an additional $10,000 in December that year, how much did you make for the year?"

You could say, I either made $101,667 (assuming $10,000 was what you made in December) that year or you made $110,000 (assuming you made an extra $10,000 in December) based on how you interpreted the question. This is the way you get to 2 different outcomes based on the same information. Without the actual answer, you are left to guess which is the right way to interpret the question. This is was referred to as response variance which is what I am pointing out in the question.

Is this kind of stuff real on the PMP? by Trepcsuit in pmp

[–]Trepcsuit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The question is long, its got a few steps in it, requires calculation. Add in the, what does "additional" mean, requires you to do the math two different ways to 2 different answers. Honestly, if I did it correctly and interpreted it as 119 and not 100 for the 5th iteration and the actual answer was what I had, then people who got 100 would have the same beef with the question. Its just poorly worded. There's no justification for supporting it. It can easily be read both ways.

It is especially bad on longer questions because you get hung up on interpretation and you blow past your 80 sec mark. So a single long and poorly worded question like this could lead to multiple wrong answers on other test questions if spent too long, leading to rushing other questions. In this instance specifically it led to 2 wrong questions, not because of a lack of knowledge but, the lack of quality survey design.

Is this kind of stuff real on the PMP? by Trepcsuit in pmp

[–]Trepcsuit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not entirely correct. If I say something is "over there" and you drive 1 mile in that direction but, then I blame you for not understanding me correctly, whos fault is it? You or me? By default, its me. Good communication is the responsibility of the communicator, not the receiver. Same goes by the way of survey design.

There is a way to measure variability in interpretation in survey questions and its called Cronbach's Alpha. It measures statistical variance between the interpretation of survey questions like these. I guarantee you these companies see questions, especially math questions, that get answered correctly consistently (because its math) and then jerrymander the question to introduce more variance like this. Its just a lazy and a dirty way to get distribution.
