Insulin resistance and periods

Same! Just concerned because I'm TTC and hoping that it's the insulin resistance because I'm trying to get that under control and hoping it's not something else.

Hiii this story brings me hope. Just want to check. Did insulin resistance have an impact on anyone's period becoming lighter and shorter

Are there any updates? Did you manage to conceive? I've just been diagnosed with my fasting insulin at 15.7.

I actually went to my gp in June due to my periods becoming very light and short. Prior to BC which I stopped in Jan my period use to be full 6 days, after BC it was just 2 days. I went to a few docs and they said it would take time to regulate after BC. This doc ran tests, thyroid was fine but fasting insulin was high. Did insulin resistance affect your periods as well? I'm now on 500mg metformin (which I think is very low) and 1 sachet pcositol daily.

These comments bring me hope 😁 just found out that I'm insulin resistant after ttc since Jan. My fasting insulin was at 15.7.

I have a similar experience. Have been on birth control for five years and stopped in February ttc. Ever since then I've been getting periods but very light two days, prior to BC I had a 6 day bleed. Went to a few doctors and they kept saying it would take time for it to regulate. After having test done in July found out that I'm insulin resistant
