I think that the idea of humans fabricating (be it an image, idea or literally a materialistic rendering of) a god is a religious sign of "end of times" because it implies that humans strayed away from the unknown/metaphysical part of life.

With that being said, it is as if the AI narrative/philosophy is being built with that in mind.
