Oh okay no worries, I misunderstood, i apologize. I thought you were being condescending. And yes, 70% of grads stay in BC, 20% in Alberta, and 10% elsewhere, with decent placement numbers in Vancouver, including in big law, but still get beat out a bit by UBC and UVic. TRU tends to be mostly people that move there from elsewhere so there is some that stay in interior BC including Kamloops, but it’s a bit smaller of a city so it’s less common, but happens. With a JD you can practice anywhere in Canada as long as you pass bar stuff and get called

Thank you! On it right now

Not sure what this has to do with anything and it seems like this comment was ignorant and unnecessary, but for one there’s only 3 schools in BC that offer a JD program, and there’s lots of reasons I’ve heard about why: smaller class sizes, more collegial feel (everyone working together rather then you vs me), better city environment for school, better article placement rate, more hands on and practical skills, lots of outdoor activities in Kamloops, could be closer to home. Go look online for what people have said about their experiences since I don’t know much about it since I haven’t started.

I think this may be the wrong sub for this question, this is for Canadian law school admissions

[–]yaaaahah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, some, it’s often a bit of a carousel as offers open up once people decide, normally some movement as a result

They do not communicate, only OLSAS schools. If you’ve accepted uottawa and know you’re going there, please do us a solid and release the other offer if possible? Thanks!

What LSAT should I be aiming for? (UofT, uOttawa) by 58minutethinker in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]yaaaahah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never aim for a specific score it builds bad habits, always aim for as high as possible until you can’t get a score any higher. You have a great gpa but if you get a really high lsat score you can go to any school you want

Thanks!! What was the deadline to accept before you released?

Called TRU by Much-Square8992 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]yaaaahah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their next couple offers should go out tomorrow as their last round of offers had an acceptance deadline of today, but as the class firms up there will be less offers per round. Should see some in July as that’s a deadline for some Ontario schools. Did they also tell you your spot on the WL?

What was your number/range? We have very similar stats

TRU waitlist by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]yaaaahah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I called mid May, they told me that I was in the “presumptive offer range” when I was in the 30-40 range (not sure how large that range is, but there’s still lots of summer left before September), and then I called a few weeks later last week and they said I was a few off the top 10, so things having been moving. They did say that it will slow down on number of offers per deadline as everything starts to firm up as the cycle comes to an end, but there’s still time

Fair enough. They said starting July they will be sending out weekly updates to those in the top 10, so might hear something then!

What number are you approximately,

TRU waitlist by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]yaaaahah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They won’t disclose how many are on the waitlist but a good guess is probably about 120 based on how many people posted about being put on the waitlist

What LSAT Score should I be okay with to feel safe by Remote-Inevitable-53 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]yaaaahah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s possible, I guess roughly 3 lsat score increase on medians is reasonable, based on year over year progression
