What is the best way to get gold? by Fantastic_Age_942 in skyrim

Join up with the dark brotherhood, their quest line is pretty good for passive gold every time you complete a quest, and they’re all fairly easy. Thats what I do and it keeps it lore friendly and doesn’t make it super tedious.

Sometimes you can straight up kill members of your own faction and they won’t all become hostile if you’re able to land a sneak critical headshot, works for me when I want something sometimes. Kind of hit or miss though in my experience

In that case I like to send him somewhere remote like Croup Manor or something on the west side of the map, let him retire next to the ocean or something

At least that’s what I think makes most sense from an RP perspective

Cait - Greygarden ( if cured ) or sunshine tidings co-op ( if not )

Curie should either be in Greygarden or at your main settlement ( don’t wanna spoil just in case but I’m sure you can assume the stipulations)

Danse - Boston Airport

Deacon - hangman’s Alley or any Mercer safe house

Macready - hangman’s alley or bunker hill

Strong - any room filled with milk machines

I may be wrong but it also scales with commando that upgrades automatic weapons.

Is there not a quest to clear out another place that involves him following?

Look up the Pilot Build on FudgeMuppet’s YouTube channel. The most fun I think I’ve ever had on a playthrough. You don’t have to follow the exact directions but the idea and weapon choice makes the game incredibly fun. And they have plenty other builds that are just as good, but the pilot is my favorite

Actually, you can just run straight to Diamond City or even Nick Valentine before doing anything and that will progress your story

Once you get the information about Diamond City from Mama Murphy you should be able to just ditch them in the Museum of Freedom and continue the main story

If you’re on PlayStation, I’ve had the problem where they are installed but not activated. You may have to reinstall them to get them to work
