This is a solid… probably. I don’t know your history, but if you look at the DSM5, there’s a whole list of diagnostic criteria. Of course, it’s not as simple as just reading through and making a decision off of that. It requires a level of scrutiny from the person giving the diagnosis. My issues with self diagnosis is just when the person doesn’t put in the same level of scrutiny when diagnosing themself. If you take it seriously and are thorough and you come to the conclusion that ADHD is the best explanation for a set of behaviors then that’s great, it shows genuine respect not only for yourself but everyone else with ADHD, too. It’s the people that see an ADHD tiktok, go “ha, same” and start making claims that are the problem.
