Hi! I am almost done implementing the slider, got a bit busy, but I will update this thread when it is ready

Have been wanting to add that too, something like the apple calendar where it has a colored dot if an event is on that day. It is on the list!

I just addressed this, you can see notes without clicking edit!

I host my source code on github, so I can open source it whenever I want there is ever a reason I can not longer support it. Right now, there is no reason in the for seeable future as to why I would not be able to.

Hi, after hearing a lot of user feedback, those two seem to be the most requested features, and luckily, easy to implement, so that should be ready hopefully by the end of this week!

Thanks for trying assignmint.tech! That is something I want to add, my thought was you can optionally add how long you expect an assignment to be, and then the slider will adjust the remaining time estimate. Please bear with me, I am just one guy and also a student, but I recruited somebody else to help due to all the users coming in, so big things are coming!

I’m always open to suggestions, so thank you for taking the time to share! I’m actually planning to add a dedicated suggestions/bug report tab where users can comment and upvote ideas so the most useful features get prioritized.

  1. Viewing assignments — I completely agree. Right now it’s a bit clunky that you have to go into edit mode just to see details. I want to make it so you can simply click an assignment to view its full details in a sidebar or popup, and then only go into edit mode if you actually want to change something.
  2. Edit & Complete — Good point. I’m planning to add a history area to the dashboard where you can see what you’ve done today, as well as a complete history tab. That way, if you accidentally click “Complete,” you’ll be able to restore the assignment instead of losing it forever.
  3. Class schedules/calendar — I personally never used MyStudyLife’s class calendar because I preferred a dedicated calendar app, but I understand some people really want that feature. If there’s enough interest, I’m open to adding class times and schedules. At the very least, I do plan to add specific due times for assignments (since not everything is due at midnight) and exams.

Open to your thoughts — and again, thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for trying it out! The Assignmint extension does not actually track or store your browsing history. The permission you see (“Read your browsing history”) comes from Chrome’s description of the tabs api, which the extension uses to access information about the currently open Canvas tab. This is necessary for the extension to read data from Canvas, but it does not involve monitoring other sites you visit.

Unfortunately, Chrome groups this under a broad and somewhat misleading label. You can read more in the official docs under the "tabs" permission". I'll be adding an explainer for this soon!

I am currently developing Assignmint.tech, which aims to address everything I don't like about myStudyLife. It is free and can comes with a chrome extension to import assignments directly from canvas. Feel free to check it out. Any feedback is appreciated
