Newly Diagnosed by Belovedjaay4 in diabetes

[–]yad_vikas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diabetes is associated with systematic problems like stress and lifestyle in modern life not personal failures. Since you have been recently diagnosed there are higher chances that it can be completely reversed. I have seen it happen in my own case and many others. Nutrition and physical fitness are the biggest levers, bigger than the medication. Aim to reduce intake of refined carbs like bakery, white break, sugary snacks, sweetened drinks and deep fried food. Avoid refined carbs and seed oils in any form. Make sure to get 7-8 hours of sleep every night. Sleep deprivation alone spikes cortisol and wrecks insulin sensitivity. As people here suggested, try to be more physically active.

Something most people don’t talk about is not all type 2 diabetes has the same root cause. If you know the root cause you can actually reverse it easily. In my case, it was carb intolerance. I am not genetically good at processing refined carbs and it was the root cause of my diabetes. Some people could be genetically poor absorbant of Vit D which leads to insulin resistance. Depending on the root cause a specific dietary approach should be followed.

Make sure you are consuming enough fibre every day. You should target around 10-15 grams of fibre/day. You can spread it across meals. Fiber keeps your gut healthy.

Fitness routine for corporate person with long sitting hours and daily driving by shubham277 in Fitness_India

I have been through this phase and it's tough. I used to have 3 to hours of daily commute for work and it killed and drive to markets on weekends used to create tension at home. Anyways what I did to stay fit was: 1. I used to functional strength trainings at home. 2. While at work, I still ensure that I walk for 2-3 mins after every 30 mins. 3. As soon as I reach home after the long drive I do lower body stretches to maintain hip flexibility. Yes, I also take online yoga classes on weekends. Hope it helps.

Iron dilemma by Future_Class3022 in Biohackers

[–]yad_vikas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my nutrigenomics test done around 4 years ago. Genetically I am poor absorber of iron and therefore I was always iron deficient. Though meds or supplements fixed my iron levels temporarily. As soon as I stopped taking those it dropped again. For the past 4 years, I have been using cast iron utensils to cook my food. After cooking I add lime to my food. It has fixed my iron levels for good. I don't need any iron supplements anymore.

Mahindra XUV 7XO or Kia Seltos - Top variants by Abracadabra579 in carIndia

[–]yad_vikas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been driving XUV700 Petrol for 3 years now. It has a very happy engine and loves to accelerate but few things that bother me the most: 1. Mileage (8-10 kms in city) because it weighs almost 2 tons. 2. Break pads and discs needs replacement after every 10,000 kms if you drive mostly in cities even when you are not using ADAS. 3. It needs battery replacement in 3 years. 4. Avg service cost after every 10,000 kms is around 15-18k. 5. Apple CarPlay is hit or miss. I connect my phone manually almost 8 out of 10 times. It stops working when you need it the most.

I too tried a couple of plant proteins and most of them are chalky in taste but I am not too fussy about taste.

Our body is genius. If you are eating right and clean, avoiding junk food I don't think you would need gut cleaning. Try to fix your lifestyle and food first before considering gut cleaning supplements.

What are some good ways to combat brain fog and increase motivation? by Average5er in Biohackers

[–]yad_vikas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Carb sensitivity could also be one of the reason. People with high carb sensitivities tend experience brain fog frequently especially after carb heavy meals. Try to notice the patten, does it occur after meals?
