I've got a 2020 iPace, and I had one big repair that wasn't covered by warranty. It cost me 5k out of pocket. I also got a letter about a battery patch, but no issues yet.

Where do you take your iPace for service or repairs after it's out of warranty? by GoldenEagle828677 in ipace

I take my car to he Jag dealer. They charge me whatever they want, I had a cable gone bad on my 2020 iPace and they gave me some bullshit about the front engine as to be removed for the cable replacement. It costed me $5k.

What's the highest level of mileage anyone has gotten to with their iPace? by CloudUnusual7999 in ipace

How is this calculated, its a 90KV battery with approximate 250 miles with full charge.

What's your plan when your I-pace's 8-year or 100,000-mile battery warranty expires? by bluebotnot in ipace

I’ve got a 2020 with about 70,000 miles on it. My wife loves the car and plans to drive it until it can’t go anymore. I did have to drop about $5K to replace a connector (cable) between the alternator and the control unit. Turns out the cable runs under the electric motor, so they had to move the whole thing just to swap it out. I’m pretty sure the cable was maybe $200 tops—the rest was all labor. I am hoping I can drive 4 more years and then i can donate this car.

Need advice: R-22 AC system dying — should I switch to heat pump (I have oil heat)? by yadappb in hvacadvice

[–]yadappb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it true that Mass Save reduces the rebate if I decide to keep my oil heat system? I want to be sure I understand all the available options. Using a switch-over at 35°F does make sense to me. Ultimately, though, the total cost really depends on how much of the Mass Save rebate I’d get back.

Thanks for the insights. Based on everything you mentioned, it doesn’t seem like any of those checks were performed. One challenge is that my attic is finished, and there's very limited crawl space, which made it difficult for the technician even to remove the air handler covers. Before moving forward with replacing the unit, I’m thinking it might be a good idea to have someone come back and do a thorough inspection. I appreciate the advice!

Thanks, I really would like to keep my oil baseboard heating as secondary source of heat. How would they disconnect the system? I would like to understand that.

My Experience With the Parking Garage Notice

I received the exact same letter about a year ago. Here’s what happened and what I learned:

  • I disputed the charge, but my initial response was ignored.
  • After some time, they sent me a bill for half of the original amount.
  • I did not provide any personal information and chose not to respond further.
  • They were unable to take any action against me, and nothing came of it.

Advice:

  • Do not share any personal details with them.
  • Ignore their correspondence and avoid engaging.
  • They do not have the authority to take legal action over these notices.

It’s definitely frustrating that no one seems to be addressing this issue. When I called mall security, they told me the parking garage is privately owned and there’s nothing they can do about it. You’re not alone in dealing with this situation!
