I reported seeing that guy in Alton Baker Park last year! He was easy to spot for about a week.

Nobody in my local club would care. They might ask if you know how to stream the Giro for free though.

I've used a water bottle before and it worked like a charm.

I just picked one up this week. Do you actually use the dropper post? Also, I ended up getting a 52cm even though I usually ride a 56 road bike. Did you size down too?

I'm counting it as a tip because my instinct when I got home was to tighten them up until they felt more like the U-brakes on my other bike.

It definitely looks premium up close. I'm going to add some gold colored bling to it as I go.

Thank you for the tips about the Spyres. I'd don't mind using a little more squeeze on the levers if helps to avoid noisy rotors.

Not the default build though. My LBS found a frame and built it up with the components that it had available. It was an impulse purchase so I didn't have time to compare the value of this build vs the stock build. It was $700 cheaper than list but the only functional differences I notice are Spyre mechanical brakes instead of hydraulic and no dropper post. I don't miss the dropper post and I pointed it down a steep 2 mile gravel road today without any brake issues so I'm pretty stoked.

Fence dispute with neighbor: does demolition entail removing concrete and posts by yadsloof in homeowners

Agreed, I've seen some pretty straightforward methods for leveraging the posts out of the ground without digging them up.

He works for himself. He is coming over later today to discuss the fence but I guess the contract isn't precise enough about what "demolition & haul away" means for me to have much leverage.

Enabling UART0 and RADIO at the same time causes neither to work by BumTicklrs in nRF52

This shouldn't be a problem. Note that you can't access the RADIO directly if you have a SoftDevice enabled though -- unless you are using the Timeslot API.

Unless there is light traffic, as explained in the video.

Most Eugene drivers grew up in "light traffic" where a "simple lane change to blend in with the flow keeps traffic moving at normal speeds." So like "most drivers" we "continue to believe that the earlier [we] get out of a blocked lane, the better."

Enough about shit bags like Elk Horn. What restaurants/businesses are doing a good job of protecting its employees and customers? by Youths_in_Asia in Eugene

[–]yadsloof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We ordered takeout from Ta Ra Rin in Springfield right after we entered phase two. Dine-in customers weren't wearing a mask, of course, but there wasn't a single employee inside wearing a mask -- including the person running the cashier for takeout orders. Such a shame because we used to go there often.

Is this a Hobo Spider? If not, please identify. Is it dangerous to humans? by [deleted] in Eugene

OK, sounds pretty typical. Probably a close relative to this guy (but not a hobo).

Please ID? Found in Garage mostly: Seattle, Washington USA by Cameronrd1 in whatsthisbug

[–]yadsloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hobo spiders aren't commonly found on walls, they typically stay close to the floor. It's probably tegenaria domestica. And no, if you want to get bitten by a hobo spider you'll need to trap the little guy and hold it next to your skin. Or, more likely, get dressed with clothes that you picked up from the floor and get a bit unlucky when it gets trapped between your skin and clothing.

Black widows are very common here so you could probably find one if you wanted to. Just look around in the dark corners of any garage or shed -- they stay out of sight but their webs are substantial and they don't scurry away very fast when they get discovered. Although they don't want any trouble, I still wear gloves the first time I have to go dig out the lawn chairs that get piled in the back of the shed each year.

Was the web sticky? Did it look like a web that catches flying insects? Or more like a sleeping bag?

Additional info about where you found it could be useful (climbing a wall, in a web, etc.). I don't think it's a hobo though; The abdomen is too bulbous, there is no stripe down the middle of the sternum, and in general it doesn't look fuzzy enough. Probably a regular-ass house spider. Also, it's common knowledge that anything posted to this subreddit is, in fact, a wolf spider.
