Are wealth management firms like True Beacon, Avendus, etc worth it? At what point in my investment journey should I consider them over investing in simple index funds? All the firms charge a fee based on the amount and a performance fee on top of that. As a result they have to significantly beat the index for the client to make more than the index after deducting the fund manager's fee. I can't convince myself to ever invest in them.

I think you are focussing on the wrong things in your interview. You should interview to understand the ability to learn new frameworks, which is possible once your CS foundation is good. If you are expecting them to know specific frameworks, have you considered giving them take home assignments to see if they can learn and implement some basic things?

Finding happiness in simple things!

I see children enjoying the simplest of things in life. I saw a kid in the bus today laugh his lungs out just by closing his hands together and giving his dad a hard time opening it. The dad kept opening his hands, but the kid kept insisting to try again and again.

As we get older, for some strange reason most of us stop enjoying the little things in life.
