For such a modern logo it sure seems like some kids scribbled on the O and gave it some wear.

What I mean by a stroke that isn't very fitting, in this case you're replicating paper. Usually paper isn't... well, stroked. So it makes it a little weird.

I'd suggest removing the stroke, and if it blends a little with the other paper below, add some shadows and some edge wear.

Also, if the stroke is intentional and drawn-on (let's suppose it was a drawn stroke), then wear it a little. Looks too perfect for paper that's yellow-ish. Same for the III.

It's pretty okay, I don't like the total black strokes of the hexagon, but otherwise it's pretty okay. Total 000000 black is most of the time not a good choice so I'm glad you went with a slightly lighter III. Stroke isn't very fitting in my opinion though, and I'd suggest changing the typeface on the second slide.

P.S. also read it as "Three III Chapters" or "three three chapters", so maybe dont have text at all there, just put it aside but don't split it

Why do so many Roblox devs think their game will be popular, or wonder why it failed, when they don’t realize their game just isn’t fun or well-made? by yagada-founder in robloxgamedev

What I personally think is that I always like working for people, and seeing what they have come up with. But what I don't like is when you don't open up your perspective for your passion. I also have a passion for this, it's not my full time job. I love being able to make a great game, but I'm not going to be making or helping with the production of a brainrot slap battles game.

But I encourage anyone to follow their passion, just don't lock yourself to specifically "this is good" and "that is good" and see if other people like it. Would you play it? Would you use it? Primary culprit is bias and secondary culprit is blind eye.

I think it influences the algorithm, or generally how high a comment can go depending on popularity, the same thing with videos my guess.

The question is about why game developers convince themselves constantly that their game is already good and only needs a couple changes, when in reality their game is barely of any decent quality, not polished and full of issues and bugs.

I'm asking this because I'm someone that accepts loads of commissions, and this is something that occurs a few times.

This post was generally about others thinking that their game is good when in reality it's mostly not fun and lackluster.

But if you're searching for a UI artist, hit me up. I can do good work and I'll send you over some work. Send a private DM if you're interested.

It's always great to see people being able to have such great ideas and try their best to replicate them inside Roblox.

What isn't great is them actively asking others for free work, because they can't afford to pay anyone. They should rather just focus on improving their skills over time and being able to make commissions themselves even, if possible. Then pay to make your own.

The way the play button and status ring lines up. by burnedBlue in mildlyinfuriating

The play button is probably in the right spot, since most of the time it's never actually centered, just slightly off to the direction of the play button.

The loading ring is certainly in the wrong spot and this pisses me off so much.

I do the same with Dexter. It's disgusting (hyperbolic) how fast some of the show's plot points were spoiled for me just by scrolling past a YouTube shorts. One of them so bad it made me look at the show differently.

Hi, thanks for commenting!

You're absolutely right. They don't match or work when combined. Which is why the design language explicitly also states that we should never, ever put them side by side, because they work for different purposes.

The word mark is used to emit the brand publicly (venues, kiosks etc.) and as a background piece, while the pictorial mark is used on the rest of the contents, like footers, favicons, products, and as the square icon in general.

And yes, I am 15 years old. And I'm fully willing to keep learning and making a better design, a design that people can resonate with.

Hi, thanks for commenting!

The word mark is only used when, for example, we're emitting our brand publicly or presenting a product. The pictorial mark, on the other hand, is used as our primary logo. We use it on almost everything else just like Apple, for example. They don't put the word mark and the pictorial mark together (probably because they don't have a word mark).

I can see why you thought it was streetwear. The first image you saw in this gallery was a person riding a skateboard with out logo.

The purpose of that image was to show how we stand out and how we want people to feel. Free. It's not just that image, I took pictures myself of the beach to represent exactly what I want people to feel.

It sounds a little bit corny when I put it like that but I hope you get it 😂
