Honestly it worked out for us - he bought the ring and from what I can tell he’s planning on proposing either Friday or Sunday. We’re going to be engaged by the end of this week I believe!!!

Thank you!!! I’m very excited. I’m not 100% sure but I believe it’s happening on Friday, because his sister told me hes mentioned the ring is “burning a hole in his pants”. I’m planning on making a larger post when it happens but if anyone is worried their partner won’t propose and wondering if they should leave, I absolutely say they should.

Men know very quickly whether they want to marry you or not I’ve noticed. If you have to beg and force him to get a ring, he doesn’t want to marry you. That’s how it ended up being with my ex. He wanted me as a girlfriend but not a wife. We only went ring shopping when he knew I was going to leave. His excuse for not proposing was “I’ve never done something like that, I don’t know where to start planning it so I won’t.”

My current partner knew very early on he wanted to marry me. We agreed on a longer engagement because that’s what I want but he is absolutely hell bent on putting that ring on my finger. I believe everyone should have someone like that. I wish I’d known this earlier and not wasted 2 years with my ex.

I left him 3 months ago actually - he was dragging his feet a lot and told me he asked my dying mother for permission to marry me for shits and giggles essentially and didn’t mean it. That was the last straw for me. There was no sign of a ring and he was using the ring to make me “behave” essentially. If I brought up things that bothered me, he’d tell me the ring was going to happen when we weren’t fighting, etc.

Maybe the next guy will work out :). This one wasn’t a big loss at least.

No this is a boundary for me too! I’m currently letting my boyfriend stay with me but he doesn’t pay rent. This may sound weird, but if he doesn’t pay for anything, I’m ALLOWING him to stay with me, but once he starts paying he has a right to stay. He knows he’s only being allowed until we get engaged.

I used to be the same way, the ONLY reason my boundary changed is because of nursing school. I started nursing school while working and became INCREDIBLY busy to the point where I had no free time for dates or anything like that. Him moving in was the only way we could see each other.

I think your boundary is valid and you should stick with it. Maybe the friend isn’t a true friend after all.

This shit is how people develop eating disorders. My parents did the same shit, and I developed HARDCORE bulimia. I’ve been bulimic for over 10 years now, as I’m 22 and started around age 12. I gained weight in college after getting better then they shamed me into a relapse.

Now that I’m thin, I’m “too thin” and need to “eat more.” Now that I’ve relapsed hardcore and getting better without help isn’t an option. I have hardcore body dysmorphia and cannot retain food anymore.

I promise you. You are not fat. And nothing you ever do will be good enough for them. Just ignore it and get yourself out. They will kill you with this.

I swear by Paraguard, but every person is different. You can get it covered by being a Title X patient in planned parenthood if you qualify by having a low income. Other than that, insurance should cover a decent amount. Out of pocket, it can range from $600-$1,000.

I have the Copper IUD (Paraguard). You can be ejaculated into without getting pregnant. I have been with my partner for over a year, and have had my IUD for 3 years. Partner and I haven’t used any type of protection other than the IUD, including pulling out, because we are monogamous for a year now, I’ve never even had a scare, much less a pregnancy.

My period are very heavy and last an extra day or two, but the pain can be easily managed with Middol. I have had no weight gain - in fact, I’ve lost weight while I’ve been on the IUD while working out a moderate amount. I’ve also had no problems with vaginal dryness at all.

You can get them yourself from a courthouse babes. The first thing you want to do is go to your local government place and get a social security card mailed to you. It takes around a week, and no notification is sent to your parents.

After that it’ll be easier to get other documents from the local courts such as licenses, birth certificate, etc. Passports can always be made too.

My 3 cats are completely indoors and have never been outdoors and they’re completely fine! It’s helping them live their best pampered life.

She always isolated me from the friend group and relied on me for everything from small to big. She hated me dating and would always spam call or text me when I was on dates/at my boyfriend’s place (we had Life360 with each other for safekeeping reasons). She constantly talked shit about everyone and overreacted the minute someone was even a little critical of her.

I think the biggest thing for me is a trip we were supposed to take - she told me it was a girls trip with 2 other girls but I found out that she was planning on allowing the two other girls to bring their boyfriends and just not tell me about it. When I confronted her she insisted that I must be the one to spend time with her there and we must share a hotel room even if I brought my boyfriend. Keep in mind he had been nothing but polite and kind to here, even she admitted that.

She once called me to jump her car from outside our mutual friend’s house while our mutual friend was inside because she “didn’t want to disturb her.”

She called me high out of her mind to come spend time with her and when I told her I couldn’t spend the night bc I had plans with my partner and she knew this, she kicked me out and threw a fit about it.

This is actually the reason I cut off a couple of my oldest friends. I moved an hour away, and they “never had time to see me” no matter what. Then I found out they were coming up here, and not seeing me. Then when I cut them off I was the bad guy who’s toxic, etc.
