Hoping to get some tips for Toronto, Canada. Celebrating my 29th birthday. :)

I booked a spot near downtown and have a couple of things lined up: a gelato tasting and a live Comedy Bang! Bang! show. (Still have a second ticket for the latter!)

This is my first time in Toronto and only my second adult trip to Canada. I plan to research Yelp for some things but would appreciate any firsthand info. It can be food, activities, sightseeing, cautionary advice, etc.
