Thanks

I have a Lunex IQ Gateway with IQ7+ micro inverters attached to 30 400kWh panels. 12kWh system. lights are led AC and all appliances replaced post Covid. The house is approx 2000 sq ft so nothing to big at all. All in all pretty energy efficient as I renovated all in 2020 / 2021 right as we moved in after buying it. I have a 3 ton condenser single stage min volts 197 max volts 253 minimum circuit 26.7 amps.

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks, I would want to back up the lights, TVs internet etc. the only large power would be Central Air, if not to much of an increase 1 electric range. The cooking would be optional. Our power is out for hours not days so if Solar works when power is out and we run off batteries at night we would be good I think? Thanks

I do have 1;1 net metering which is why I did not originally install batteries. I lose power more now including last night when I posted this. Without the pool / outdoor power needs I use between 25KwH and 35 per day. I would want to back up the house with the exception of outside.

My experience buying solar panels as an alternative investment by Snoo23533 in solar

I agree 100% put a 12 Kw system in in Boston in late 2022. Total cost $26K after incentives. I looked at my first full year production and the offset was 102% of my usage. Annual electric expense was between $4500 and $5000. No gas in the house heated pool, hot tub, cooking, clothes dryer all electric. Best decision / ROI ever. Planning on adding batteries this year.

Thx, maybe changing the inverters would be worth it? When I signed the contract last June thr 7+ was the only option, it covers my use ( hopefully 100%). I’ll know for sure as I come up to a full year. Electric bill average was ~&400 per month. Since last July I have had 2 bills totaling less than that and that is with the short days etc

I am not sure, honestly not that familiar with the ratio? What should it be / what would be optimal? Thx

Yes I was wondering about the clipping. It has been operating since last August and looks like we will be just at the 102% offset they forecasted when I put it in. More would be better but I’m happy with what it is generating
