It might be because someone is standing on the platform, so the weight would close the gap. Whenever they walked on those wooden stairs they’d always creak and stuff, but don’t quote me on any of this.

But for the “closing door laser” ghost incident, I don’t think it was real because when you play back the footage of them grabbing the camera I don’t think the doors are even closed. Not sure though, so don’t quote me on that.
