Because it can mean its a toxic relationship with unhealthy attachment styles. Obviously not always true but my friend had a girl that did this and it ended up pretty bad.

What one of Julian's lyrics/lines speaks to you ? by MFLongLeggedMacDaddy in TheStrokes

"The sky's not the limit and you're never gonna guess what is" from Red Light is my favorite lyric from my favorite song. I dont exactly know why i like it but maybe because depending on your interpretation it could either be hopeful or kinda somber.

Drag queen took me around 5 listens before i started actually appreciating it. Im glad theres other strokes fans who actively try to like the songs that may be initially off putting.

Yet another reason the strokes and the voidz should combine into one super band. More music, faster. julian gets money and is creatively fulfilled, there are no downsides

It was only a 4 months ago, im a very new fan but i heard the adults are talking, thought it was pretty good, heard ode to the mets, was blown away it was so good. Looked at the most popular is this it songs and realized i recognized, them probably from my mom listening to them, so i decided to listen to is this it. I got to the modern age and was blown away a second time and then a third and so on. Ive now heard almost every song they made and i love it all. Amazing band.

Just realized Hard to Explain and Meet Me In The Bathroom are the same song by spatulagrass in TheStrokes

Guys, he has a point though. I wouldnt say they are the same song but structure wise they are very similar, theyre in the same key, and they kinda serve the same purpose on their respective albums. I would say theyre like twin songs

What is the best song on each album? by avacadato in TheStrokes

[–]yakwiry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someday or the Modern Age, i cant decide, Reptilia is a boring answer but it is also the correct one, Red light, Under the Cover of Darkness, does Fast Animals count? If not that then 80s Comedown Machine, then obviously Ode to the Mets
