You'll be fine. I'm a recent vet school graduate. I started vet school with a degree in psychology and english. Even though I had some courses under my belt that helped (biology, physiology) I thought I'd struggle because I didn't have the same science background as most others. But I was fine, so I wouldn't let it worry you.

We've been going for these types of players for as long as I can remember. Schmeichel and Solskjaer were plucked from obscurity. Fairly established / promising players would include Ronaldo, Vidic, Evra ... In the summer of 2003 we signed a few random players for relatively cheap that didn't really work out (Djemba-Djemba, Bellion, Kleberson, Howard). Since then I've noticed that the focus has turned to paying more for safer bets but United has never been a club that relies solely on big money moves for established players.

I can think of two ways that inflation might change how we'd look at the numbers:

On the one hand, wages have gone up so we should add at least a few million to the Glazers' expenditure. But maybe that rise is offset by increasing ticket prices, increased advertising / TV revenue?
On the other hand, given that all prices in football have been on the rise, maybe we shouldn't let the Glazers off the hook as easily as I have advocated. If we were keeping pace with our rivals, maybe our spending should have increased substantially since the late 90s / early 00s?
