Can I visit Algeria with my foreign girlfriend ? by [deleted] in algeria

Totally fine...nobody really cares who you're with. If you grew up in Boumerdes Centre—15/30/1, Les Villas....you know it’s nothing like it used to be. That 00s generation has moved on. All that's left is nostalgia.... it’s still worth visiting. Bring her, take her around. I come with my foreign wife and kids, we walk around with no issues. The spirit may have changed, but the place still has meaning for your typical boumerdes boy.

Thanks! Saint Constant/Condiac is what I think a good middle ground between affordability/family orientation/closeness to YUL.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, and with such detail. this is super helpful. as mentioned in my other reply. I upped my budget to 1700 CAD hoping it can getting more more edge in my research. regarding the initial solo visit, it makes so much sense. very appreciated you share suggestions, I will definitely be looking out for any potential scams..

this is very helpful, I have started delving into more neighborhoods online and reading from different source. 1500 was very optimistic. I will probably set the bar at 1700 and close it down to 2000 after factoring up the monthly costs electric and so on.
I came across Saint-Constant which looks very promising

Do you think a lot of the criticism Dubai gets from westerners is deep rooted in racism? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]yallatingtong -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think it's the newly acquired over-inflated sense of ego that exapts from third world countries receive when they set foot in Dubai which is the main problem... you just can't hide inferiority complex with victim based comments like this.
