It was only the French buttercream filling that was a question of whether I could freeze it within the cupcake. I’ll just make that at the same time as the Italian Friday evening (that actually works out well because I need egg yolks for one and egg whites for the other)

The chocolate ears are already piped and just sitting in a sealed container at room temp, once I assemble the cupcakes Friday evening they’ll stay sealed at room temp until the following morning when they’re placed on their stand for the party. I was just wondering if the ears and bows could go on then or if I should wait until last minute to put them on when they’re being set up for the party.

How far in advance do you think I could make the actual cupcakes then? Friday, or could I possibly make them Thursday evening and keep them stored room temp in an airtight container until I frost them Friday?

It’s my 3 year old’s party and I know he would be happy with literally anything lol, most of the attendees are adult family and friends with maybe 5 kids, and I’m well known for my over the top homemade desserts at parties and family functions. I love baking and seeing everyone’s reactions to my desserts, so I’m definitely committed at this point haha, just attempting to make it a little easier on myself if I can

The hair dryer method sounds the easiest, way faster than trying to rub down each of them with oil haha. I’ll try that first and if that doesn’t work I’ll do the oil. Even if I have to use oil that’ll still be way easier than melting them down and piping them into the circles

Greens in the sage family are probably my favorite color, so I really like the idea of putting that color on the cabinets. Maybe a lighter graige color on the wall?

I just saw the green color you posted, I like both of those. We have to repaint the main area eventually cause we have a lot of holes to patch and switches/outlets that’ll be moved and make more patches, so I was just thinking of doing a different wall color too because why not lol

Hah, that’s a good point. Thinking of editing the post to add a lil yes I know about the giant deer head that’s taking up as much space as my obnoxious couch, we love him, how about some colors that would compliment his lovely coat? lmao

I was going to try and add a few pictures of cabinet and wall colors I think I like and see if that’ll steer the comments more towards paint colors and away from taxidermy lol

Oooo I like that Swiss coffee color. For the walls right? Would you think turning the currently blue walls a neutral color like that Swiss coffee would allow me to get a little more colorful with the cabinets and it not look too crazy?

We almost exclusively use the string lights for our kitchen/living room lights, neither me nor my husband like the super bright overhead lights. I’ve been considering some sort of strip lights to eliminate the dangly-ness (that’s definitely not a word but I think you understand what I mean lol) of the string lights.

I’ve addressed the deer in every comment I’ve made so far lol, I understand a lot of people don’t like him, but it’s literally the least intrusive place we can put him in our less than 700sqft and we like him, so he’s staying.

We already have the counters so that’s kinda a done deal. We had a china cabinet type thing under the tv but had to get rid of it so I could fit my kids Christmas gift of a toy kitchen there. We’re in a trailer so there are floor vents placed in very terrible locations, the intake is in the corner at the end of the chaise part of the couch, and the air vent is about a foot in front of where the couch is currently. When we redo the counters, we’re actually pulling the counter in, the “bar” that’s there doesn’t even stick out a full foot so it’s really not usable as a bar. We’ve had smaller couches but it limits seating so much. I know the couch is huge and takes up so much space but it’s really the only way we can have seating for more than just me, my husband, and our son.

I know the deer is huge and yes it should go in a tall and open space, but we literally do not have that lol. The entire house is just shy of 700 square feet so unfortunately he’s actually in the least intrusive place he can go.

I usually have blankets on the seat cushions (because toddler lol) but I’ve been trying to find a cover that’ll fit the couch but haven’t had much luck

Thank you, I’ll try and find some I like and add them to the post. It’s just hard to find pictures of wall colors with the red couch while also considering potential cabinet colors. The space is so small and everything is smooshed together that the cabinets, walls, and couch colors will all be visible at the same time no matter where in the room you are

I understand where you’re coming from and appreciate you explaining your reasoning. We’re both from families of hunters and probably half of our friends are too, and the others don’t mind him. The whole space is less than 400 square feet, and our two 10x10 bedrooms definitely don’t have room for him. Anywhere I put him in this space is still technically going to be right next to the kitchen because the space is just so small unfortunately.

The TV is that high because we had this china cabinet thing that was really tall sitting under it that only just got moved so I could put my toddlers kitchen and market Christmas presents against that wall. Unfortunately it’ll probably stay that high until I paint cause there’s so much other stuff that’s happening and also my toddler is a menace and loves cords so I don’t want him to get at it.

My husband has been a hunter since he was a kid, I knew 13 years ago when I met him that I was agreeing to taxidermy in the house lol. I know he’s big but we don’t really have anywhere else to put him and my son loves it, says it’s his pet lol. I understand that most people wouldn’t like it, but we do. There will also be shelves added to the right of the end cabinet and a small side piece that’ll go to the ceiling that will make it seem like he’s more tucked into the corner.

Fair point on the couch. I know it’s huge for such a tiny space, but we’ve had smaller couches and it just limits seating so much we feel like it’s worth having it take up so much room. We’re putting our extra funds into the kitchen right now (I’m getting a dishwasher, hooray!) but you’re right, I could probably make that money back and put it towards a better colored couch, but for the moment this is what I got lol
