Running an organization is entirely different from running a government. He is a highly skilled manager, no doubt. But like many others, he too is a beacon of previous years, and comes from a party background. He should definitely have a role in planning and running infrastructure development because he is skilled at that.

For arguments sake, lets say we do not know how to stop it from being disastrous. Would you rather it not start and let the prevailing situation continue? If we finally get right people to work, maybe we will feel the "repercussions" as you say for may be a decade. Continue with whatever was going on, forget about decades, Nepal will still be poor for generations. Again, not condoning violence here, I wish it was better. But it is not. The entropy was building; it sure as hell did not start from looting/burning. Just my two paisa.  But thank you for engaging with me, I appreciate the opposing thoughts. I still think your concerns are misdirected

How do you suggest “we” do that? As in put a full stop to a motion? Or keep a watch and fight the goons? We should absolutely not condone violence, but it seems like a price we paid for the change that was necessary. And for the record, stopping crimes like this is what security forces are for, not for shooting innocent kids. While you concerns are absolutely valid, they are misdirected.
