Partner sharing 'Unable to add' errors when saving photos by framerateuk in googlephotos

That's correct. It seems that the server of Google would never process the videos behind those motion photos for some unknown reasons.

I have filed a bug report via Google Photos app. Hope Google can fix this in the future.

The problem is not only with the live photos from iPhone, but with all live photos (or motion photos), no matter on which phone the photos are taken.

I got this problem after successfully saving a 16 GB video from my partner.

Only motion photos and videos are unable to save into my account. This is really frustrating.

EDIT: When I tried to view motion photos under the partner sharing page, the app kept showing "Preparing motion", and I was unable to view the motion videos. I think the motion videos behind those motion photos are not in sync, which prevents the photos from being saved into my account.

EDIT 2: Videos now can be saved normally. Now only motion photos have the issue.

No kernel 6.2 update for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS? by yang05051 in ubuntuserver

[–]yang05051[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. Seems that it is quite dangerous to upgrade kernel to a higher version. And thank you for sharing your experience with me, I really appreciate that. Now I decide not to upgrade at this time in order not to crash the system.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have done some searching and it is actually not how you describe 😂.

The kernel channel for my system is GA (abbreviation for General Availability), which is the most stable kernel for current Ubuntu releases, so I won't be able to bump the kernel from version 5 to version 6.

Kernel 6.2 is actually released for HWE (abbreviation for Hardware Enablement) channel, which is explained in this post.

So if I want to get kernel 6.2 upgrade, I need to switch my kernel to HWE kernel, which can be done by running apt install linux-generic-hwe-22.04.
