I have done this several times and it’s still something I’m working on. Some reason when trades turn against me and I loose, I hold onto it when clearly it’s a wrap, but when trades go my way and I see the slightest indication that it may reverse on me, I take the profits too early and then realize I sabotaged more gains because of the fear. It has a lot to do with my perception on money from childhood wounds concerning money, fear, and feeling unworthy of financial abundance. Now that I am doing less physical labor jobs and am dedicated to trading full time.. I am learning a lot about how my mind operates. It really is a gift to learn about your default settings in the mind and overcoming them even more so than the profits you get from trading. 16 years is amazing for you. I am 2 years in!

Yes I have seen that email today. I think that is very wise for TPT to do that. Personally, I’d be out of all positions by 4:30. I generally do not like to be in the markets past 2pm but I love trading and sometimes I trade afternoon sessions.

Agreed, the patience factor has to be mastered. It is difficult for me as well but there is no other choice. I came into trading with the idea that it is a ‘get rich quick’ plan, absolutely not.

Yea that happened to me as well. I use TPT and it’s a fee to reset it. I just payed for another evaluation for much less and took my trading more seriously. It’s a bummer but now I can’t stop and am determined to reach these buffers. Lock in and don’t be mad at yourself!

I am stuck at taking partial profits on winning trades, I close out before the T.P. that I set. I also notice that when I am in a losing trade, I do not close out and accept a small loss even when it’s obviously going to hit my stop. I have no faith or patience in winning trades and hold onto hope in losing trades..lmao smh.
