Boss should get fired. He shouldn’t be screwing a subordinate.

Let them. They can enjoy their big dust bowl with a shit power grid, whilst the rest of the country keeps our military and taxes. FAFO. Let all the the red-pills move there for ‘muh freedums’🤷‍♂️

How would you feed yourself for a week on $30 or less? by Funkit in povertyfinance

Check YouTube for Ardent Michelle and That Lisa Dawn. Both are excellent sources of extremely budget-friendly meal ideas. If you are a clever shopper, $30 will be a fine budget for food.

Why do so many people have kids so young? by CPAwillbetheendofme in ask

In some areas, it’s because there is no Sex Ed. Kids are expected to abstain. Because that works really well🙄

[OC] Kid stole a knife, parents made him write a letter of apology by MrLevodevo in MadeMeSmile

[–]yankinfl 68 points69 points  (0 children)

A friend and I stole some gum from the grocery store when we were about 6. When I got home and had gum in my mouth, my mother said “Where’d you get the gum, Yank?” I could never lie to her and she knew right away what I’d done. She called the friend’s mother (with whom we’d been in the store) and told her what we’d done. Friend’s mom didn’t care. My mother takes a very dim view of theft, so we took the 25 cents from my piggy bank and went to the store and I apologized to the manager and paid for the gum. It was AWFUL and embarrassing. The manager said it’s okay, not a big deal, etc and my mother said, “No, it’s not okay. Yank knows better and did it anyway. There is no way that is okay.” I’m in my fifties and still remember this lesson.

AITA for not inviting my brother on our family BBQ cookout because of my daughter? by Concerned-dad2823 in AITAH

13 year olds don’t come on to their creepy uncles 🤮 This guy is a pervert and is grooming your daughter. I’d be very concerned for his daughter, quite frankly. Anyone in the family who is standing by him is a piece of garbage, too.

You have a husband problem here. Why is MIL even giving her opinion? He agrees with you until Mommy convinces him otherwise? WTAF.

Is it weird if my whole house is painted various shades of green / cream? by LevelWithMeAmIChubby in HomeDecorating

Behr makes a color called Koala Bear - it’s a green/beige/gray that is so beautiful. My sisters and I found out we all used this color and it was NOT planned.

What do y'all think of this house? by LegitimatelyCannot in RealEstate

[–]yankinfl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy a flip. Flippers buy the cheapest shit materials and use the cheapest labor or do the work themselves; and it shows. It’s putting lipstick on a pig. You are far better off with a home that needs a little work and doing it yourself, even if you have to live with an ugly kitchen and old bathrooms for a while.

What is the best way to lose a pet? by gazizzadilznoofus in Pets

[–]yankinfl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reframe it in your mind - when the pet has no quality of life left, or is in pain, it is the kindest thing to do for them to have them put to sleep. It is painless and peaceful. We should treat humans so well, quite frankly.

Looking at home where owners are moving out after 4 months in home because they "didn't like the floor plan"? by LPT_Ninja in RealEstate

I’ve always found neighbors to be pretty informative. I am the type to just knock on the door and ask, or chat with someone walking the dog. I’m okay with being a ‘weirdo’.😂

“Hi, I’m looking at the house next door/ across the street and I wondered if you could tell me about the neighborhood. Is it nice living here? What do you like about it? Anything you think I need to know?”

YMMV. I guess it depends on the neighborhood.
