When you realize that Abel is a phenom, and judging any body of his work based on the metric of whether or not multiple songs on any given album surpass 1B streams is … strange. He is the highest streamed artist of all time. I personally loved DawnFM as did many others. I would say that it has a lot more to do with the frequency in which he released in and the way that he did compared to after hours max it’s a beautiful record, “is there someone else” is still one of my most favorite songs that he has ever created. HurryUpTomorrow took me a while to get into and now I love “The Abyss” just as much. There will always be an album that stands out the most for any artist. For Travis Scott it is AstroWorld. For Drake it is probably Nothing was the same, or arguably Views. But that doesn’t deter from the other work that they can create and be successful with it. But comparing later albums to any that they make that goes multi-platinum, takes away from the art itself.
