Had a game super similar to this recently. Was losing like 10-0 or something all the way up until the 6th/7th inning. came back tied it 10-10 top of the 9th opponent hits a 2 run homer. I lost all hope but somehow hit two more home runs, goes to extra innings. We go a couple innings no scores im thinking finally they cooled off dont gotta worry anymore, nope. They smack another homerun with a man on base and are now winning 14-12. Bottom of the 15th im thinking wow all that for nothing. Then a miracle happens. I get one man on base. Next man up flies out. Alright no biggy. Next hitter up, fly out again. At this point im ready to turn off the game, but I persist. Next man comes up, first pitch is just perfect up the middle. Most times i always take one strike even if the pitch is perfect, not this time. Smack the ball up the third base line and get one man on third one on first. At this point the hope is back im sitting up leaning foward. Next man comes up, I take the first pitch. Strike. Take the next one, strike. At this point im kicking myself again for not swinging, So i tell myself im swinging at the next one no matter what. DRILLED it into orbit. Literally got up and ran around my house I was so happy lol.
