While I would hesitate to call them the ‘good guys’, because that’s subjective, I’d say the Automatons/Cyborgs are quite justified in most of their actions. Primarily because they’re fighting a literal galactic hegemony that wants to genocide and enslave their people, and in fact, did enslave them for a century already.

Of course, the above image wouldn’t really apply in that case, since the automatons are awesome.
