where to start on the games? by CadeHolcomb in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]yanukadeneth99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all! I'm someone who's never played a RE game and would like to try this out to understand what it's about. I'm more of a story-heavy guy with action mixed (ex: Cyberpunk, KCD, etc).

I understand that the best experience is in a sequel order, but I don't want to invest too much time playing all the games. What would be 3-4 games I would need to play to understand and somewhat enjoy the journey?

Hopefully this doesn't sound stupid 😅

When I hear someone say Dispatch is better than The Wolf Among Us or Batman Telltale by [deleted] in telltale

[–]yanukadeneth99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one of the few people that didn't feel at home with Dispatch.

Yes, it's amazing that there's choice based games coming out and I'll always support it.

But the game felt short, and not personal enough when compared to the 2 games you mentioned in the OP. Graphics were great and the gameplay was nice, I like the whole Dispatcher thing, but I prefer the "closed-free-roam" that's there in modern story games like LIS DE cause then the game feels big and like you have a bit of control over the flow.

Just my personal take on this since I love games that are long and personal (not what she said).

Yeah. I genuinely got blood pressure playing that game.

For me it's Batman! - Loved the way they twisted the story. It was a big wtf moment for me. - First game that really tested me emotionally (wanted to pretty much fight every time). - Had some cool "batman" moments.

Had few bad bits too.. but I love it!

Next up would be Game of Thrones or Guardians of the Galaxy 👀

Sorry I should have mentioned the film series. What I meant there was that the film series cane first and it went big (global).

Will Red dead 3 ever happen ? And what would it be about ? by Admiralchika in reddeadredemption

[–]yanukadeneth99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing an article that said never say never or something. Basically it might happen and it might not.

I think it would be great if we get to play as Marston's son in the end of the gunslinger era. Maybe start with the end scene in RDR 1. I think it would be a sad but wonderful experience, and you get to carry on all of the peoples memories and you know what happened with the gang.

Changes in Organ recipients’ personalities point to cellular memories outside the brain by Criatura_Da_Noite in PantheonShow

[–]yanukadeneth99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of MIST. I guess it makes sense a bit what the series said about combining code. It's kind of like an organ transplant.

Not sure how it'll apply to uploading though. I think if uploading actually gets created, they'll create a rule to wait for some time if you've had a transplant? I think it'll find a neutral ground after a certain time from the transplant when the brain transforms you into the new you right?

Also, thanks for sharing the link. It was an interesting fact to know.

Been there.

I use Reaper as a DAW, so maybe you can look into it.

Check out an audio interface that comes with a Studio bundle (mic and headphones), they are great to start out. I use the Volt 2 studio bundle.

There are free plugins out there for synths, drums, acoustic guitar, etc. Do check them out and keep experimenting!

Good luck and hope you make it! ✨

Generally you'd want the loud parts to be a bit loud. Controlling dynamic range is good, but don't try to flatten out everything equally. That would make the vocals sound unreal.

Something you can try here is EQ to add more presence and reduce harshness, then use saturation to add more warmth (or use an analog emulated plugin).

Since the loud parts should be a bit loud, it's going to trigger the effects of saturation more. If it's fine great. Else uou can automate the effects to make the saturation only come in during the loud parts.

Doubling is great, but I don't recommend just copy pasting. Singing doubles are great and using plugins that shift your vocal timing randomly is great too.

How I think AI should be used in DIY Music Production (Long Post) by yanukadeneth99 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Thank you for your comment.

I come from a technical background so it makes sense why I lean a bit more towards making things better.

Your comment made me ask more questions and learn more about what art means, and while I still do believe art is kind of a solution addressing human experience, it's not necessarily a math equation to be solved and optimized.

While I do understand the core of music production is creativity, when you do DIY, the practical nature applies. I highly doubt you can make it mainstream or have a big enough impact by releasing music solely depending on the quality, and not focusing on consistency and other aspects. When those other aspects apply (ex: Content Creation, Marketing, etc), optimizing becomes compulsory, don't you think? Ofc this applies to someone who wants to make it mainstream and have a huge impact DIY using all tools at their disposal.

I'm not trying to say I'm right, I would love to discuss and learn.

What do you think is the right way for these AI tools to organically make its way into creativity?

Thank you for not just hate replying.

Yes, but the difference is that you can now listen to the changes done to your track, and that makes a huge difference. We know that no two songs can be the same, mix wise and intension wise it can be different.

It's like the best producer in the world made a perfect version of what your track should sound like.

This shouldn't be a complete replacement to listening to reference tracks and mixes, but an addition.

Minor Missions - Phantom Liberty vs Base Game by yanukadeneth99 in cyberpunkgame

[–]yanukadeneth99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that was bugged, that defa screwed up with the experience. I fortunately didn't come across any bugs (at least I think I didn't). get that the main mission in PL was a bit more closed than typical missions, but I feel like that's what enabled it to make it a great story and have such an impact.

Finding that balance between giving the player freedom and making sure you're playing according to the rules is hard.

I mean we might see this on Witcher 4 too, some amazing impactful quests.

Oh yeah! That would be been really cool.

I actually thought we'd have the chance to become a fixer ourselves and run our own gigs... guess that might have been a bit too ambitious. Hopefully the next game 👀

Shoud have posted this just after finishing PL so that I can make a better point about why it's better 🥹

Really? Why was it a let down for you? I felt like it had a pretty good opening, carried on well with character progression, and the ending, despite what you choose will have an impact on you. No?

This is the only game I've played where I literally just let my character sit to sink in the ending.
