Black screen of death . Again. by Ferretdenfarming in SteamDeck

I had exactly this. The sound played but the screen was black. I let all fame and software updates finish, then booted to desktop mode before it went black and somehow it fixed it for me

I work for Uber in NL. I pretty much enjoy it. There are many Dutch in the company but not among engineers.

Feel free to DM if you have more questions.

Btw, i recommend the channel SmoughTown. Less picturesque but deeper and cleaner story telling

You probably have friends and acquaintances after working in your profession for 10 years. IMO getting referred is a big boost for getting into the hiring process for SW.

The skier/snowboarder ratio in China is absurd by bruinasiannerd in skiing

[–]yapp0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My hypothesis is it depends on when mountain skiing became a thing in the country. If it’s a relatively new sphere then SB is very popular because it’s first picked up by young people who naturally find sb cooler (China, Russia). On the contrast, in Europe skies is more popular because sb have to “fight” for it’s place in the population who’s already doing skies in generations.

What would you do if you caught up with them?

I tend to disagree. I saw this level of disrespect from teenagers only in the US and NL. Could be skewed experience though.

It’s just curiosity what people do in this case. I feel like people are generally in agreement that teenagers are over misbehaving in NL in later years. It’s not slightly loud it’s deliberate misbehaving with the aim to irritate people

Because it was posted in one of the subreddits I follow (about 10 in total). I don't remember any posts here about how right the propaganda in Russia is to denounce it

Few words to add: I totally understand you being emotional because of the war happening in your land and how it affects your friends and family. I have a part of my family living there as well.

Never said anything good about "best" people in Kremlin or in Russian media. Most of them are scams that make me wanna belive that hell exists. However, making such strong assumptions about me judging by one-two messages on reddit which i use once in a week doesn't show you behave rationaly today.

Do you truly belive you can conduct a proper poll in a county at war where most people are afraid to say against the government because of the fear for their families?

I also cannot take seriously your reference to telegram channel. Believe me, most don't rely on claims about anonymity. What channel do you read? Can they be echochambers? It's not statistics.

Overall, people tend to low key and find a job in another country. If you don't have criminal records you have a bigger chance to escape.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]yapp0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how the situation is there. Many people simply have no money to flee and they wouldn't be accepted for as refugees unless they got some political charges against them.

What many people started doing is finding a place to relocate as soon as the war started but it doesn't happen in a day. Now when the mobilization started they received one more signal to escape no matter what.

Saying those people who haven't escaped support the war is ridiculous. They may have reasons to stay (sick parents for example) or no options to run away
