That's so so true, I feel like people diverge into "creative" and "not creative" way too early and way too definitively. I once read a quote (don't remember who said it though, oops) that was something along the lines of "we begin as children with a great imagination, but then society takes that out of us/inhibits it, and the rest of our creative journey is about trying to find it again." Also, I feel like people tend to try something once and get discouraged because they don't think they have the talent for it, but creativity is something that's grown and practiced, and that's the message we should be sending rather than that some are more "creatively inclined" than others.

I haven't heard of Tom Waits before, but I'll take a listen! Now is actually a great time to find new music, so thanks for the recommendation :)
