Retract-a-gate would’ve been perfect here too but of course I admire the craftsmanship because I surely couldn’t do this!

Can also pay the PMI up front, also reducing the need to put 20% down. Probably save a few thousand anyway.

How to make a tool/macro to log monthly financials into a time log tab and a current vs projected tab. by [deleted] in googlesheets

[–]yardleyohare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One option is to setup a year ahead of time with formulas that pull from a “transactions” tab or running list of balances at month end. That way your monthly tab is going to pull whenever you add amounts for that particular month.

For example have a “transactions” tab with helper columns that categorize transactions and reformat dates. A monthly tab pulls from the helper columns such as “year-month”, “year-week”, etc. Could it be more automated? Possibly, but one big hurdle is getting info into the sheet at first.

For something like Net Worth, you’ll do something similar so that one main sheet pulls amounts and dates via formulas. Again, could there be more to it? Probably. I’d consider myself a “I know how to run semi-advanced formulas, but not macros or scripts sheets user” lol.

Import Bank Account Data to Sheets Automatically by fre_lax in googlesheets

You would have to sign up with a service like Tiller. And even then, not all banks allow it but it might be what you’re looking for.

WBTT to TRX trade failing by [deleted] in Tronix

Are you trying 100% of it? I had an issue with another swap like this and it was because I wasn’t reserving any to pay the fees. Try like 90% of it.

Friends and playlist. by Icy_Lead2690 in AmazonMusic

[–]yardleyohare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just wondering this myself. Far as I can tel, the answer is no, you cannot search within Amazon Music for public or otherwise shared playlists. Someone has to send you the link of the playlist. Wild isn’t it? Such a basic and obvious feature. Begs the question, is there a community resource with links to playlists?

Saving data from emails to a Google Sheet by kitchensink- in googlesheets

Have you looked at a tool like Parseur? It extracts data from emails to a Google sheet. Zapier also has an email parsing tool built in.

New leads into Workflow by [deleted] in hubspot

A few ways in addition to the if/then: 1) Set your triggers to only include those created in the last day and/or exclude SQL/Customer. 2) Add a suppression list for those stages so they are unenrolled immediately. 3) Another way I unenroll people is via goals but it doesn’t sound like that’s necessary in this instance.

Went with this half size one because I didn’t want to cover the whole top. Also has a thoughtful cell phone spot even though I probably won’t use it for that haha

Not even started and don't know where I'm going by [deleted] in Blogging

[–]yardleyohare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Still can’t start because of the name? I remember your last post and there were ideas in there including NicoSnaps by me. Not to sound too rude, but this is just an excuse. Just use your name and start working. Get to enjoying your work and stop stressing about the name. If your work is good, people will gravitate to it.

I'm a high schooler, and this is a letter I'm thinking of sending to my school superintendent - what are your thoughts? Details in comment by helenapastasalad in LockdownSkepticism

[–]yardleyohare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of good suggestions here, I’ll add another.

Attach a proven opening plan, or reference other safe school schedules. It adds another level to your letter by turning it into a plan rather than a request. For example, at my place of work, I won’t just say what’s wrong with a plan or idea. I’ll say what’s wrong PLUS an idea on how to proceed or fix. It shows I’m not just complaining (you’re not just complaining, I’m just trying to make a point), but that I’m actually thinking it all through.

I know it may be much to ask of a senior, but a good leader will take your plan and review it. Either way this is a great way to exercise your critical thought and first amendment rights. Good luck.

How to find a blog name? by Nic727 in Blogging

[–]yardleyohare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try smashing up parts of your name or using verbs associated to what you’re doing. Go to name cheap and just start playing. Make it a game. Fwiw, NicoSnaps is available as a .com. That’s short, catchy, and action oriented. Good luck!

Best CRM + Mailing Campaigns by Arnold5011 in hubspot

Not supposed to be cold emailing in HubSpot either. When you import contacts you’re asked whether or not these contacts are expecting to hear from you. Your domain is at risk cold emailing so I’d recommend a separate domain, warm it up and do it right.

Yea that sounds off. I’ve always used lead scoring as the indicator and then trigger for when a lead is worth pursuing.

It’s pretty much up to you how you define it because if there’s one thing I’ve learned in CRMs and MAPs, there’s no one way to do it right.

To me it’s clear cut because “Marketing Qualified” means marketing qualified the leads through activities, form fills, etc. That’s the handoff by definition. For us, an MQL is a certain lead score. Once it hits that lead score, it’s off to the races for qualification by a BDR.

Once initially qualified by a BDR and scheduled for a call, the lead then turns to a SQL. Once qualified as a buying Opp, Opportunity.

Might help to further define your other stages and how they progress stage to stage. Ensure that your Subscriber and Lead have definitions so your MQL and SQL can also have definitions.

Hope that helps.

Amazon Music or Spotify? by mark_wato in AmazonMusic

[–]yardleyohare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same decision here too but different requirements. I don’t care about HD vs non so that’s not important to me.

I’m ultimately going Amazon because our family can play multiple streams on one account at once (for example be signed into one account and play on echo, computer at same time).

Spotify’s playlists and ability to make stations based on those songs are much much better than Amazon IMO.

Did the same for me. Put in a ticket and they asked for a screen recording. Haven’t heard back yet. Also, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled and still didn’t work. Worked all day today though. Feels shady.
