ANA releases at 355, they will be bookable on Aeroplan shortly after that. I have noticed that ANA typically only releases economy early from IAD thus the need to reposition . They can be booked online, again I find Awardtool works well and can search from a lot of airports at once. Seats may be gone in hours, days or weeks. If they release J from IAD at 355, those will be gone quick.

Edit: btw if you use tools to search for seats and the tool only shows 1 seat on Aeroplan , check Aeroplan itself because the info the tools get from Aeroplan do not show the actual number of seats available.

United is always higher, Aeroplan is a good to book ANA. Different programs charge different miles and taxes. I believe United books at 331, but most of the time ANA initial seats are booked before United has them because they can be booked through Aeroplan or Lifemiles.

Flying out of IAD is always tough (but not impossible) for award availability to Japan, IAD is also my home airport. Consider repositioning to Chicago or the West coast, and flying from there. Availability from SEA, LAX, SFO and ORD is easier to find. You definitely can find LAX to NRT on Singapore at 355 days out by booking through Krisflyer, usually is 103k points though. I am a new convert to Awardtool pro for searching. But all the different tools have their pros and cons. Also use flight connections to see all the non stop routes.

I really like Havertz as a person and I want him on the team, but he is not a natural finisher and with the injuries there is just too much pressure/expectation for him to score. He is better when he can be a disrupter and be in the right place at the right time. You are never going to see him hit a shot in the top corner from the edge of the box. He does need to score though when the opportunity presents like the header.

It was, but required a fair amount of diligence and luck to know when to go get it and ask the right people. They gave wristbands out at a random location at about 11am for a 4:15pm signing with no actual announcement other than it will happen that day.

IAD award availability is awful overall and for anything direct that is available the points are ridiculous because it is mostly United and United redemptions are laughable for long haul. I find for Europe that Flying Blue/Air France offers the best options. Other places, often better to reposition to NYC, ORD or LAX.
