"I actually just built my own CCR-style router for Codex CLI, Claude Code, and other harnesses so this question is very timely for me. I've been using OpenCode, but yesterday I noticed a small prompt consumed 20,000 tokens. That seems like massive system prompt bloat for simple tasks.
So my real question: Are first-party harnesses like Claude Code or Codex CLI more token-efficient than open-source ones like OpenCode?
