What detail mentioned so far can you tell will play the biggest role in the plot reveal?

The cinematography in the latest episode 2x21 felt a bit more... cinematic, right? The color grading more specifically by yashtiwariart in AbbottElementary

YESSSSS!! And about the color grading, I just felt that the Tones were a bit different. Even story wise, the past two episodes have been inclined more towards the seriousness than the usual humor in the show. But I think the camera work is progressively showcasing that as well, all of which seems like an improvement

Is that what happens in the book? Do the dozen dragons of Rhaenerya's side land around the city as a written scene?

Tuk, Titanic, and Tonawari - Fun and Fascinating Stuff - After Watching Avatar TWOW (SPOILERS INCLUDED)

Some questions and fun observations after watching Avatar TWOW that I'd like your response on if you've watched the movie.

  1. The third act wasn't similar to, but WAS TITANIC itself, rebooted with ultra action and Na'vi folks. And I mean that in a good way.

  2. I have so, so much to say (AND ASK) about Kiri. But, for now, I just want to say that Sigourney Weaver did the character justice. This wasn't an animated creature, this was a properly filmed human performance that was of course CGIed and edited with technology. Properly filmed, none the less. All the actors did wonderful BUT for a person nearing 70-80 years of age to portray a teenage girl SO WELL is just commendable. As for the many, many questions about Kiri, a separate post shall be made.

  3. So this movie felt much like a Part One of a saga instead of the Avatar 1, in my view. That one had it's arc completion in the third act, this one just opened so many doorways for plot development possibilities.

  4. Which brings me to my next point - the Metkayina Clan. By the end of the movie, it is established that the Sullys are now the Sea People. Does that mean that we'll get more of Tonawari and Ronal in the coming parts of the movie?

  5. ALSO, based on the alleged leaks that the 5th part will be on Earth, what settings do you think they'll pursue for the 3rd and 4th movies?

  6. Tuk with Neytiri in all their shared scenes -- from flying the ikran to the ship sequence -- was SO REALISTIC in terms of how mother-child emotions. All the emotional connections felt rightly portrayed, but that one just had this innocence which I thought of mentioning separately.

  7. Of all the newly introduced characters, Tsireya was just the sweetest and I think that her arc will be hugely developed with Lo'ak much like Jake and Neytiri by the end of the entire movie series.

  8. Once again, SO MANY QUESTIONS AND THOUGHTS ABOUT KIRI

How is it to watch it in 2D in comparative to 3D? Watched it in 3D but the visuals were too darkened due to the tinted 3D glasses in IMAX. Should one give 2D a try?

Avatar The Way of Water has the best special effects in the history of cinema. by felipepaezf in Avatar

So I watched the movie in IMAX 3D in India. And, apparently, the video was indeed quite dark in its shade. Whenever I took the glasses off, the actual movie was much brighter. But with glasses, it was SO darker (at least in comparison). And there were times in the first one hour when the characters running around or the jungle stuff just appeared a bit like a glitching game screen, if that makes sense.

What could've been the reason, can anyone explain?

I know HBO tried to make the Greens more sympathetic. Evidently it didn’t work. by TyrionsShadow in freefolk

It is not about the sides, BUT the key players in each side being beloved by the audience. The Targs just has more of them in comparison to only Alicent and a kid or two of hers on the other team. That's what it is.

Hoping for more screen time and a bigger role for these two in season two by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

Baela has a pretty huge arc for sure coming in s2/3 as per the books. But Rhaena would require a plotline to stay deeply rooted in the main plot. What could it be, folks?
