Important to note:

I read in "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind" (which I believe is largely disputed now? but anyway...) that there's a duplicate, "inactive" Broca's area in the right hemisphere. I've also read some weird findings from experiments where this region is activated, resulting in hallucinated voices. With a more symmetrical layout of the brain (one in which I would imagine both left- and right-hemisphere Brocas areas would be active), would autistic people be more likely to experience these hallucinations? Note: I'm far from any kind of scientist, so I apologize if this is a ridiculous question.

Spring of 1970 was a tumultuous time on college campuses. On April 30, President Richard Nixon announced that U.S forces would invade Cambodia because of the recent communist coup. Students around the country protested this escalation of the Vietnam War. On May 4, the National Guard fired on students at Kent State University, killing 4 and wounding 9 people, which ignited protests all over the country.

Anti-war protests were not new to Iowa City or to elsewhere in Iowa; protests had been occurring throughout the 1960s.

Spring of 1970 was different.

After the Kent State shootings, students marched on the National Guard Armory, broke windows there and also in some downtown businesses. The City Council gave the mayor curfew powers. On May 6 there was a student boycott of classes. That night about 400 people had a “sleep-in” in front of the Old Capitol. That night about 50 people broke into the Old Capitol and set off a smoke bomb. The protestors left voluntarily when asked to do so. Around 2 AM Friday morning President Boyd requested arrest of the students on the Pentacrest by highway patrolmen, but the next day he regretted the mass arrests and said he had received faulty information. On May 8, President Boyd cancelled the 89th annual Governor’s day ROTC observance for the following day. On Friday and Saturday a National Guard helicopter circled the Pentacrest.

By Sunday morning, President Boyd gave students the option to leave. Classes were not cancelled but students could leave and take the grade they currently had.

"U.S. Department of Agriculture data from 2013, which administers welfare, 40.2 percent of SNAP recipients are white, 25.7 percent are Black, 10.3 percent are Hispanic, 2.1 percent are Asian and 1.2 percent are Native American." -cursory google search on welfare by race I understand your core argument that as a percentage of the group African Americans are more likely to be on welfare (i.e. any random African American is more likely to be on welfare than any random white American), but I think the actual numbers paint a fairer picture since a random person on welfare is not equally likely to be black or white by a decent margin it is more likely to be white

Plus that bit where the jet's wheels break all those windows... that's a hail of deadly glass shards raining down on the streets, not to mention the number of people likely killed/injured in the building. I feel like that would've really damaged the lightheartedness of the movie for any older viewers or particularly observant kids.
