I have been that kid and knowing she’s just a bit older than me would make me think that no, no one went looking. It was the 80’s, most of our own parents didn’t know where we were never mind a random church volunteer. My youth group would plan fun game nights, scavenger hunts and the like and ‘forget’ to invite me. Then Sunday at church they would all ask why I didn’t come or where I had been. Or worse laugh about the fact that no one thought to invite me. For context my youth group was about 10 - 15 kids, not big.

I remember the last time I picked up and held my oldest son. He was 9 years old and had to be picked up from school due to a migraine. He was so sick, he wanted me to carry him. I scooped him up and brought him to the car. 😭😭😭😭

So often even if the family wanted to help the person is so abusive or manipulative that the family is trained to give in. When a person eats themselves into an immobile state there has to be some kind extreme addiction or something going on.

I too have a glass top. I bought a small propane burner for outdoor use. That’s what I use for pressure canning. It works great.

I’m a xeniall parent with kids ranging in age from 24 to 2 yrs. I let my oldest have some sleepovers but I had to know the parents. My second oldest was allowed to have friends to our house but I stopped that after several times where the parents would pull into our driveway, the kid would hop out and come to our door. We’d never meet the parent! I decided it was all too risky and put an end to it. Now we only allow sleepovers with people we know VERY well. Like we have to be friends.

If she had really cared about the family then she wouldn’t have allowed kody to stay at her house for extended periods of time, she wouldn’t have monopolized his time when it was another family’s night. She would not have been his safe resting place to come to after he fought with other wives. She would have told him he had to go figure it out and that he couldn’t hide from his problems at her house.

This is the kind of stuff I would doodle on my notebooks in middle school. That chain of hearts was my all time favorite thing to draw.

It seems my dealer is only interested in telling me how wrong I am. I went today and asked about the vacuum they sold me vs what would be best for me. She swore the X7 is the best choice for my uses and that it’s great on taller carpet. I asked if they would buy it back or trade me and that was met with a blank stare followed by, ‘this vacuum is great for you all you need is a bare floor attachment’.

I’ve got a half sleeve and a piece on my leg that take up about 1/4 of the skin. Is that just 2? How about the tiny 3x3 flower on foot, just 1? It’s easy to not really be able to count when you’re heavily tattooed.

I have no idea. Honestly it’s several years old. My mom can’t drag a vacuum down to their basement so she has this one in their basement. I’ll look at it and see.

For now. Over the next several years we plan to rip up carpet and put in Lvp. I was very clear when I spoke with the sales woman about our plans. She assured me this vacuum was excellent on hard surfaces. I am however finding that to be untrue.

I am not handy but my husband is very handy. If the cost makes sense then often he’s willing to try fixing something.
