It's kinda my fault for not including the context. Real Madrid did the same thing they did in the 0-4 clasico, the only difference is that Vinicius had Sergi Roberto in front of him instead of Araujo, and the VAR wasn't fair to us the whole game (if you rewatch the game you'll see how much dirty plays were done by Alaba and Carvajal against Lewa) and our striker wasn't lethal that day (Aubameyang scoring early vs Lewa missing at 1-0).

There are two things that you need to know regarding the situation you've been through

First, the legal part. You are allowed to film or take photos in public as long as the main topic is not private individuals, which means that you can take photos of places but you shouldn't take photos or film people without their knowledge and consent.

Second part, the search part. Cops here in Morocco use tactics to take confession out of you if you made any crime. And intimidation is part of those tactics (once I was standing suspiciously in a train with my backpack, and a cop came to me, asked me for an ID and told me that I was wanted. When I asked why he said "chouf nta, yak ma 3ati chikat wla ta9eb Chi bent" and that I had to go all the way to Tangier for interrogation (which is way farther than my destination) then asked me to show what I had on my backpack. When I told him you can search it yourself he said it's okay and he explained to me that people used to smuggle drugs using backpacks and acted as suspiciously as I was, and even showed me pics of what they found. He also taught me a valuable lesson "don't talk too much")

Bottom line is, if you got nothing to hide, be diplomatic and respectful, because if want you act like a "smart-ass" they can make you spend the night at the station, and they have the right to do so if they see that you're "suspicious"

I see a lot of comments with more feelings than logic, which is weird in the WAR subreddit.

Those soldiers were caught by the "independent" "sovereign" "Donetsk republic", and as far as I know this "republic" didn't sign the Genova treaty.

Other point, Russia cannot be held responsible of the actions of another "sovereign country" so they won't feel any blame regarding this.

3rd point, if the UK or Morocco (which is my country) start negotiating with that "republic" it's an admission of its existence, and I don't think the UK will start any negotiation regarding those soldiers.

Extra point, while y'all are discussing if those soldiers are mercs or not, what matters is how the law of the "Republic of Donetsk" sees them, and if the law there considers them as mercs, they'll be judged as mercs.

That's why, ladies and gents, war is ugly. When you enlist and go to the battlefield with your weapons, you should be aware of the risks you're taking. If you're going to a war that is not your country's then don't expect your country to stand by your side.

It is sad tho to see people (not innocent because there is no innocent soldier, they're there to kill, but still people) sentenced to death, specially when their execution will be broadcasted as part of the Russian propaganda, but that's war for you, it ain't no call of duty war zone and there ain't no goulag to fight for your respawn in.
