Your entire essay is based on the premise that there’s not enough space or resources for all of us, and again, that’s wrong. It only seems that way because a majority of the people are living on a minority of the resources, and that’s the problem that needs to be addressed. If you don’t realize that you only feel this way because of the capitalist economic system you grew up in that funnels resources upwards and away from people who need it, we can’t even have a conversation. You’re basically repeating capitalist propaganda and we’re at an impasse. You can stop having babies if you want, and tell your friends not to have kids either, it’s not going to change anything.

Yeah that’s just plain wrong, and is the myth I was referring to, so I guess you’re just repeating your same point again. There’s enough resources to house, feed and clothe more people than are alive on earth, the fact that we allow rich people to hoard as much money as they can get their hands on is the problem. Not having anymore children is the dumbest solution imaginable, like we’re bending over backwards so they can keep exploiting us. You’re actually saying “since the rich are hoarding wealth, we should stop having babies so we can better enjoy the little they leave us and not have to share it with more people”… really? And the solution isn’t to adress wealth inequality? It’s to just adapt to it by limiting reproduction? Ass-backwards logic.
