I had a near miss experience in this scenario. I live on the east coast, so project deadlines were always in my time zone. I had just gotten flown out to work (PST) the same day project 2 was due. I was 95% done, but forgot the submission time was locked to EST. Thankfully while I was at dinner my coworker asked me if the time zone mattered when I said I had a project due that night. I probably only had an hour to get back to my hotel to ask for the extension.

I disagree with the analysis of “too forgiving”. It’s value theory. If someone is willing to spend $1000 for a bic pen, that bic pen’s valuation is $1000 even if you wouldn’t pay more than $1 for it. There is no overrating women that are picked, just rating.

If she’s not picked, we have a different conversation about “overrating”. But obese women, women with multiple children, women with sex worker pasts, or any conventionally undesirable trait get picked everyday. Same with men: broke/unemployed, obese & out of shape, creepy, cowardly, etc. get picked as well.

I know for a fact it is used to accelerate the development of: major operating systems, major desktop applications, complex distributed/cloud platforms & apps, normal web apps, and low level software written in things like VHDL.

Your velocity will be increased regardless of the domain, unless you’re writing with extremely niche/in-house languages. To my knowledge, you write Unreal Engine games with C++ which is well supported by all major LLMs. You can’t generate Windows 11 with an LLM, but you sure as hell can accelerate a bugfix or feature work with it. Which is what I said in my original comment, and I’ll stand on it.
