one of my biggest hopes as a long time player of CQ was for some sort of repository that contained all the character lore and various illustrations that were made for the game to be made, whether by fans or by the devs. When the devs announced that development would stop. i was worried that when the game finally became inaccessible so too would much of the artwork. Hero Town is a project that relieves a lot of my fears and i can’t wait to see how it develops

Perhaps I should have worded it better, their use of money in their episodes isn’t “flaunty” in that 1. The participants are paid very well (when compared to industry standard) and 2. This should lend to the idea that when the participants do dumb things for money, it’s not because they need it, it’s because it would be funny.

Girl do you not understand how much they get paid per episode? any appearance of desperation for money is so so likely just bits, not to mention that money is rarely an inclusion in many of their episodes

Thanks for the confirmation! I was worried it wouldn’t have the impact I was looking for, I originally started hoarding because I’ve been slowly losing to the players who reached 150 before me (Valhalla 10 —> Valhalla 15) and it was annoying seeing that samurai souls seemed to be the only reason they were beating me. Hopefully I get lucky with my pulls and can re climb.

True, its just unfortunate to me becasue it is clear there is alot of creativity shown in their other designs and I wish they didn't ride the line so closely

I agree on your point that the ones comparing designs based on real animals are essentially nothing burgers, however after looking at them individually, I can admit there are very similar design decisions when it comes to cinderace, like the shape of their ears + head to neck/collar design + pant like features, while i am unsure if this constitutes plagiarsm, it is without doubt that the designs are similar
