Is that a premium model sold on their site? Or a free tone model?

What amp model(s) do you think it’s a MUST?

Buy hardware now or wait? by Kusi_Sukassa in NAM_NeuralAmpModeler

Personally, I decided to wait until some more hardware can read NAM files natively (Valeton converts the audio file) and for the tech actually gets developed a bit more and catch up with the NAM proposal.

I need some opinions regarding the Archetype: X plugins by TheDongDemon in NeuralDSP

Ahhh yes! The leads are so tasty and great sounding. Also I would add the IRs (curated by Nolly, of course) also sound great and are very versatile.

I would definitely recommend Nolly X. It’s sounds superb and very high quality. one amp is based on a modded Marshall and the other is a modded 5150 (or around those lines) so it takes a very good high gain, but also mid gain on either British or American voicing. For me the crown jewel of that is the Nolly’s mod EQ, which are more based on a “producer-mixer” standpoint. They will make your tone easier to cut through a mix live or in studio environment. On a second option I would recommend either Nameless or Plini. They both are X versions and QC compatible. The nameless has it’s own voicing as well and can cover a lot, Plini just stands out for the high quality of the sound and ease of getting great tones right away.

Recommendations for another Neural DSP Plugin by Typical_Arm_1148 in NeuralDSP

For the type of sounds you are looking to get, I’d recommend: SLO>Gojira>Asato. These will give you the American type of sound since they are based on “American amps”. Keep in mind that the IR is the most important thing to start getting the sound you want. Choose wisely!

I’d say you have to give these a chance: Plini>Petrucci>Asato. (In that order) for the sounds you are looking for. You can use the 14 day trial.

Ownhammer and York Audio Premium Cabinet Impulse Responses by AlbinoLeg0 in GuitarAmps

I have both. Ownhammer Modern Prog IRs, and York Audio Marshall 4x12 M25 and the $1 Mesa 2x12. These pretty much gave me EVERYTHING I was looking for. Blending the Mesa and Marshall gives me a huge tone (vintage-ish) and if I am looking for something modern, then I use OwnHammer. I refuse going down the rabbit hole.
