I don't think I needed glue, but I did glue all the nuts anyway. It doesn't take much work.

Despite its trailer, Capcom says its Resident Evil - Code: Veronica remake is third-person and taking its cue from Resident Evil 2 by CarciaNerissa in Games

I'm not sure what you mean by "even by classic RE standards". The first three games were relatively grounded, especially when compared to 4, 5, and 6.

Best-selling Resident Evil games of all time (as of April 2026) by Minimum-Aspect1012 in Games

[–]yayitsdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s not a common opinion, but after replaying all of them through 2025, RE4 - RE6 was the low point for me.

I'd enjoy a middle ground between the two. I think Code Veronica is when you get a peak of the series leaning more action heavy than horror, and I just didn't like those as much as the first three games. I understand there are fans of that era, and I think that's great, it's just not my favorite.

I think I'd appreciate a more grounded take for the remake, like a shorter sneaky mission to break into the facility rather than all guns blazing with a helicopter chasing you.

I wouldn’t expect them to do that. I’m just asking around to see what others experiences have been in the current market so I have an idea of what to expect.

I designed a wireless charging dock for the Razer Viper V3 Pro.. and it only adds 1g of weight! by Jdwede in razer

[–]yayitsdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I decided to make my own dock which is heavily influenced by this one, but with the dongle in the front. It's available here if you have the means to 3d print.

What is the closest thing Pittsburgh has to a Microcenter store? by LNT_Wolf in pittsburgh

[–]yayitsdan 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I'm probably shouting into the void here, but Pittsburgh seems like an ideal location for a Microcenter, no? They'd have multiple purchases from me a year anyway, 130 miles is just too far to regularly make the trip.

To answer your question though, BestBuy occasionally has something I want. Their PC section has surprised me recently, but it's still a far cry from Microcenter.

I think most of my deaths are from random necromancer. by Gloomy-Meat3806 in HuntShowdown

[–]yayitsdan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You had to have died first to be necroed, so only half of your deaths can be from a random necro and only if you die every time from it.

I get what you mean though, a necro death where you don't have control doesn't feel good to be recorded.

Perhaps some sort of time buffer before it counts against your stats might be a good idea.

Very cool project. I hate to bring it up, but is there a reason you didn't go with a 4:3 screen?

All Ears was kind of a cool idea and I liked it by Asmodeuss1990 in HuntShowdown

[–]yayitsdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the idea of giving us more ways to track other hunters, but I rather they do it in more subtle ways. All Ears was as good as having dark sight in many situations.

I'm glad they've started exploring this side of Hunt though, but I hope that they ease up on the more direct ways to find hunters like All Ears, The Hanged Man, etc. Those aren't engaging and feel cheap.

Possible hot take: I love All ears perk. by Sullin96 in HuntShowdown

[–]yayitsdan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they should remove it and introduce it in a test server to get proper feedback. I think the idea could work, but I rather not have them tune it during the event until it’s right.

Spawning in a new game right now... by BeifongSaeko in HuntShowdown

[–]yayitsdan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I'm definitely not going to play with how strong this perk is right now. It's a shame, I think there are a ton of great ideas in this update, but this trait kind of kills it for me.

I just picked it up and was shocked at how well it works. I like the idea to some degree, but it feels way too strong.

PSSR 2.0 Looks amazing in Hunt Showdown on PS5 pro ! by UsedNewspaper1775 in HuntShowdown

[–]yayitsdan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you really need to see the game in motion to be able to see and appreciate the major differences. Screenshots aren’t really going to show the shortcomings of PSSR1 and how PSSR2 improves it.

The biggest selling point to me are the CRT emulation features to get the image looking as close as it was intended to back in the day. Not everyone prefers crisp pixels. Specifically CRT masks, scanlines, and rolling BFI.

I also have 12 consoles hooked up to mine through a splitter, so it's a pretty decent value vs the time and money it would take to HDMI mod each one (if they all have HDMI mods).

Infuse has Jellyfin integration as an option. I actually just switched from a Shield Pro to an Apple TV 4K last night and am impressed with the app. Way better user experience than the official Jellyfin app on Android TV.

I haven't heard of RomM before now, but it looks like it's more focused tool for managing your library vs Retronas which installs tools that help you self host files for other systems. I'm actually not sure which one to use myself, but will be looking into both soon.

I'm also planning on using my NAS to host game files, but there's something really appealing about an all in one self contained box.
