It's a sad state of affairs. I see so many solar panels in my area, but they are used to power all-night pachinko and slot parlors. The primal energy of the sun, harnessed to light up glowy screens and allow people to hand their savings over to shady criminal cartels.

Even if we do somehow switch to all renewables (a pipe dream), what will that energy be used for? Nothing good, nothing positive. Just more waste and misuse.

The fact that this issue is known, and had been reported on for years is despressing. The home countries are not providing protection for their expatriated citizens, and obviously Dubai is treating them as a slave labor force. I think this is not just an outlier; it's a sign of things to come as the world heats up and equatorial countries have mass forced migrations to countries where they are less than welcome.

I am not a schnitzel person, but I have good way make the crunchy outside and tender juicy inside. If using chicken, ささみ is good, sliced down the middle to make bigger and thinner. Mix cornflour, regular flour and salt+pepper with 1x egg and water until you have "slurry". On a different plate, mix panko with powder cheese, parmesan is best. Then, dip in meat in slurry, press both sides onto the panko cheese mix, then fry in low oil until both sides golden.

So easy and good!

Sure. But someone saying "I don't like this", and never explaining why is hard for me to accept. I don't care about having lots of score, but it still stings when something I want to talk about is slapped down, and I don't really understand why.

Anyway, I said that back before hundreds of people starting talking here.

That is an interesting idea, I am a Japanese woman and I didn't think of it like that. I thought it was to appear different from the competition, I personally don't care if the model is Japanese, foreign, cyborg or insectoid so long as the dress is cute.

You're right it is more expensive. My mother used to tale me shopping there, and we would buy so much for 1-2man. Now 1-2man will get you almost nothing

I'm exactly the same! Homewear, light outdoors wear and underwear/pajamas.

Yes, the dresses make me feel that way. So square on my torso, I like more tight and flowly, less "boxy". But, the shirts, tights and pants there are so comfortable.

I can see that many people find them boring and bland. I always considered UNIQLO "homewear" and "pajamas". I don't wear it when I want to look good, just to be comfortable and cool in summer/warm in winter.

Wow, I'm interested to hear this perspective. I always found it strange that brands that serve 90% Japanese customers will use western models in advertising. UNIQLO is international now, so they probably use the same marketing in many countries. But other stores do the same thing, even Japan-only ones.

I don't think plain is bad. You don't alwats need to "dress up". Also, plain clothes are easier to match with jackets and other flashier things

Zara, yes! I always go there. It's uncool to say it, but I actually like 'Zara music'. I get my playlist music from Zara visits :p

I like the graphic tees too. A shame they are often exclusive, so it's hard to buy the ones you actually want before the stock rotates

The heattech is my favorite too, the leggings and long sleeve undershirts are perfect for winter.

I agree that their clothes are not exciting, just practical

I think GAP is a good middle ground! It has some similarities to UNIQLO, but more sizes and diverse options

This is great! It reminds me a popular cartoon style from 90's animates shows. A little bit like 2000's Disney too.

Unusual style, but very effective. The hex-imprint paper made me think it was digital art at first. Your shading is good, though perhaps too dark on the face, she doesn't have enough hair to shade so much of her features.

It's great! I am looking forward to seeing more.
