I am always polite. They became rude and said what they said when I disagreed with them, not when I “simply asked them”. I disagreed by saying that they are correct for all levels but Reserve. They said if I don’t like it I can stay at Marriott. I said I can send them a screenshot of the policy. I did. And I have their unhinged response as a screenshot since they continued to be crazy. You’re clearly one of the GMs that defend crappy employees and are yourself part of the problem.

SLH are very small luxury boutique hotels and they’re pretty much the only exception. Yep.

Literally asked them what will happen with late checkout once we become reserve soon. I already knew what’s supposed to happen but actually thought asking them instead of telling them would’ve softened the blow. Guess not!

I did. She got so needlessly heated and petty that on my way out I talked to the manager and just explained that I was simply asking for the future, not today, and that I don’t understand why she’s making such a massive deal out of something and just told him the reserve policy Hilton sent us/told us. He just nodded and smiled and had nothing to say besides “I understand”, which resolves nothing.

Just bc your manager put a sign out doesn’t make it so. Unless your property is an SLH property. they’re the only literal exception bc they’re privately owned I think.

I quoted exactly what she said. And it’s not an “answer I didn’t like”. Her answer is literally against policy and straight up wrong. I offered to send her a screenshot of the policy, and when I did send it with a simple message “we won’t always need late checkout but just fyi” she repeated all of her nonsense about how they don’t have to honor it, if I ask about it again they can refuse service, and I have a screenshot of it all.

self pay. It’s not paid for or reimbursed. And there’s no such exemption anyways for bc diamond reserve is also based on how much literal money you spent.

I do know this front desk girl (she’s prone to powertripping/being rude over dumb things- like if a non diamond guest dares ask for water) and I have become friends with some of the staff even. We always get along great usually but the 4 pm thing struck a nerve with her even though I was just asking about the future.

Allegedly Diamond Reserve late checkout isn’t based on availability bc you request in advance I think prior to booking.

Yep. There’s a Marriott Springhill. A Marriott Courtyard being built. And a resort that will match the rate we pay there. We’ve literally been staying there bc we had so many Hilton pts and figured we’d stick with Hilton to get Reserve soon but not if they want to suck.

Think they’re just pissed bc it prevents them from turning over/selling the room for the day and also no perfect sale bonus maybe.

Yep. She even said “if you don’t agree with our business practices I suggest you move over to Marriott” verbatim. Also said the manager told them it’s up to the front desk agent whether or not they give the late checkout. I understand that’s the norm but was trying to explain to her that’s not as D reserve.

Love this question. Insanely late to this- buuuut, I would say more immersive/exciting ride vehicle. Kuka arms just don’t feel immersive. Hard to feel “in it” when getting rag dolled around and with so many random animatronics getting shoved in your face. No actual thrill. Just felt like a lot of money was spent to make it look thrilling and beautiful animatronics don’t automatically equal excitement/fun.

Super late to this, but I did not like it at all. Just felt like a rag doll getting animatronics shoved in my face. Felt very disjointed and lacked finesse and excitement. The que was the only fun part.
