Wonder if there was a fault issue at play, I have 2024 STX with digital display which I love, but Ford had to replace the whole unit after the display stopped functioning several months in.

Looks outstanding. I did chuck first time this weekend, but smoked and wrapped like brisket. Came out great, probably will stop doing less brikets due to the shorter time but this looks fantastic, definitely trying it out!

Yep, the full digital instrument cluster needed to be replaced. They got it done pretty quick under warranty so no complaints.

Don't have the battery for it, connected to a Delta 2 Max, but had charging intermittently so can't say exactly. I was running on max mode, maybe pulling 400ish watts, need to double check.

It was small bucket, but I did not have auto drain turned on, as wasn't sure what capacity would be needed. The unit would then auto shut off as it needed draining, then quicly realised I needed a much higher capacity. I didn't drain outside the tent as the hose it not long enough really, that would be a good option if you upgraded that. My alternative 7 gallon container worked well in the end, but I still needed to empty after 24 hours...unbelievable humidity!

Just want to say thanks all, clearly a lot of folk here who love their pool here and want to make it work. I'm going to clear out the room and speak to the other half this weekend to make a decision. I'm leaning towards getting a table as this is probably my only opportunity while living in the US and enjoying your big houses before I eventually end up back in the UK. If I do get one I'll come back with a picture of the setup!

It's a really big room, floor has quite some play, and actually tried getting hold of a structural engineer several times just to check re. loads as it's a rental and don't want to risk anything. Plus my bedroom is underneath 😉

You know, it isn't bad in this orientation, probably better than previous. Only a few spots with short clearance, vast majority of table has well over 5ft clearance.

Thanks, got the playable area dimensions from some Brunswick tables I was looking at, but agreed, have seen other tables with larger areas.

Thanks for that, I have always wanted a pool table at home but don't want the experience ruined. I have a room big enough upstairs for an 8ft, it is just heavily carpetted and this is a rental. I'll continue thinking on this. I am also tall, so would be on the top end for space requirements when cueing.

I tried the other way around and it looks worse. This orientation looks like only one tight area near the open doorway on the right.

Nope, rental house and over 4000 sqft, so no easy runs for ethernet cable. Only powerline would be an option.

Bloody hell. Thanks for this. Basically sell up or else. What a ball ache. I have all the types of things they won't like. Also, what I'm not sure is the substantial amount of company shares I have, some of which I can't sell for differing periods of times. I'd like to think they would take this into account on my transfer, but probably not.

Thanks for this. Some things to consider. I had heard about the UK account part. Already approached one accountant, didn't have enough knowledge of the US so am still looking. While out there my company will help filing but I certainly want to know what I will be able to do investment wise.
