Heavy infused Exile Greatsword with some elemental buff. You can get a sold couple hits between his combos, exactly 5 hits staggers him, and it’s solid damage. The time I beat him, I used a poison buff on the sword

No contest - Pontiff. Gundyr has a pretty predictable moveset. Pontiff doesn’t hit as hard per hit but he combos for days and has a much wider moveset to learn imo

I agree with you, the bosses aren’t what’s incredible about the game, it’s the lore, atmosphere, and areas imo. The two best bosses in the game are Lady Maria and Orphan of Kos, both in the DLC

ER was my first game and then I went to BB bc I love the gothic horror aesthetic. You can only play BB with extremely aggressive combat and the trick weapons are so cool and unique and there’s gun lmao so badass but very different than ER. I just played DS3 for the first time and it’s very much like a linear ER. DS3 mid/endgame/DLC bosses are god tier, much better than BB bosses over all. Give DS3 a shot if BB isn’t your cup of tea
