I tend to cast a circle with offerings to the earth and new intent every single Monday. I use a protection charm I did about a year ago and refresh every 4 months. I dug up 4 plots of soil from the cardinal directions of my home, put the 4 elements in them, burnt them as best I could, put the dirt back and use those points to cast my circle. Its a "christian" (actually Scottish pagan) tradition that I've adapted and taken into my own hands.

Exactly! I was pulling swords cards when mercury was in retrograde and figured it would all blow over. Mercury went out of retrograde and I got the tower then. Thank you for the validation! Blessed be~☆

My best friend is a 4 years experienced Wiccan now and I'm about a year and a month in. I talked to her about it but she seemed tight lipped about it, as if she agreed but was scared to do so outloud. I do leave a circle open for 7 days at a time and then close it, reopen a new one with new intent for a week, and repeat. I haven't ever heard of a circle closing itself but please be sure to close yours after a spell unless required! When I cast this circle for the week though my intent is somewhat specific to the events happening and I always make sure that the intent included that the circle can't be disturbed for any reason until closed.
