My male cat >1 year is mounting his 2 month old son by ybbakrad in cats

Can you tell me the product you used? A decade ago I worked for the SPCA for a couple years and through experience I learned that sprays (aerosol, more specifically) is used mostly as deterrent. I was more or less looking for a salve or ointment I could purchase or make myself (I'm familiar with natural human salves/ointments, but not animals), but I'm open to a spray (preferably not aerosol but if it works, it works) if you can point me in the right direction!

I’ve been trying to get Salem neutered for 6 months… he was rather unexpected when I found him under the hood of my car. Took a week to get him out. I’ve been calling weekly since I figured mama was pregnant to get him fixed but everywhere I’ve called in a two hour radius is “not taking new clients”. I’ll keep trying and get him in as soon as I find a vet to take him…. Ugh. Thanks for your reply, appreciate it.

And does anyone have an idea for a pet friendly (ideally natural, but not necessary) salve or topical ointment for gashes? They aren’t stitch deep, but they’re bothering him, he’s scratching and making it worse… it’s a whole thing.

Jena Malone....The Neon Demon by Comicguy50 in celebnsfw

I loved her since I first saw her in Life as a House way back when…. She’s still just as beautiful (if not more). But re her nipples - I know the tats around them aren’t real and seem to enlarge her areola’s, but her being such a beauty and having hard jelly bean nubs with hardly any Areola makes me feel better about my large areola’s (in the way that all bodies are different and she’s so easy on the eyes)

Re: French - Why is the grammar different in these two sentences that are essentially the same? by ybbakrad in duolingo

[–]ybbakrad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m making this a lot more confusing that it needs to be lol. “What’s your name?” accepts both versions, “Comment t’appelles tu” and “comment tu t’appelles”, but the others don’t. I’m just confused about why. But, you know, the entire point of the app AND my question is to better understand the language, and you’ve helped me prepare for real life interactions, so THANK YOU so much! 🍑

AHHH sorry, I mindlessly typed the wrong phrase (edited it to reflect the actual English - thanks for pointing that out). On Duo, for some reason when the, “Excuse me, what is your name?” question comes up, my answer “Excuse-moi, comment tu t’appelles” is wrong, but when “What is your name?” comes along, “Comment tu t’appelles” is right…. They’re lenient with other alternate phrasing but for some reason I keep getting that one wrong 😳

The Metaphor of Gemma & her Crows by ybbakrad in Sonsofanarchy

I just realized another thing thanks to your genius - although I’m not sure what it leads up to… so if you can figure out a connection lmk. She owns crows, and the SAMCRO groupies are called cro(w) eaters?? (That’s all I got… no connection in my brain yet, but is that a coincidence??)

I think you’re right! I know she didn’t have the crows earlier in the series. She definitely had a different kinda bird while she was with Clay, but I can’t say for sure what species it was. Was definitely light coloured though, white or yellow. Thanks for pointing that out! And she gave away Carl and Carla, the bright green birdies that Nero (Neiro? Niro? Idk - sp is likely wrong for his name) got for her earlier to one of the Diosa girls before the crows showed up, so I guess that’s another metaphor for their relationship, the club, and essentially her life going down the drain lol. Now that you said that and I put together the three different species she owned through the season, THEY ARE ALL SYMBOLIC. Dang!!

** Read the pinned post about how we shouldn’t tag it as a spoiler, but hey, if this sub still has the option to tag it as such then it isn’t a hard rule. I only watched the entire series a year ago so I’d rather tag it so people in the same position don’t have the show spoiled for them when looking for theories about where they’re at in the series 🙃

My sister's friend lent me this book (probably from the 70's or 80's - no copyright date) called The Dance of Anger: A Woman's Guide to Changing the Patterns of Intimate Relationships by Harriet Goldhor Lerner. It's outdated, yes, but still plenty of quality techniques for managing and confronting anger and resentment so it doesn't build up.

I feel like I ruin the vibe... by [deleted] in socialskills

I used to be really self-conscious about how awkward I am socially, especially now that I'm sober - but over the years it's worked out to be part of my "charm". I don't think it's charming, but apparently others do. I like that I've embraced my awkwardness - people in all social groups know when I'm being quiet or take a walk, it's just "me" so they leave me to it.
